Official AXISdapter Thread: SIXAXIS/DS3 Hacking Made Easy (ONLY PACK A avail)

i used 30, where can i find 26 gauge wire. Radioshack had 30 and 22

god 30ga is such a PITA to work with. feels like its going to split in two just sitting in your hands.

this is very true lol, im trying to get 26 gause for my 360 TE dual pcb but its damn near impossible to find in a store.

they have 26ga at my local electronics supplier. might want to try one of those.

hereā€™s a link to the 26ga wire on their website, if you dont mind ordering online.

pretty good prices, but i dont have to deal with shipping so i dont know how much more it will cost.

did you use 30ga for the home button as well? or 22ga?

Hereā€™s a couple of places I order wire from: 26AWG links below

in different colors too!

Sweet! Thanks to TRComet, Yoyu, and Slagcoin for all the assistance.

I will get to it this weekendā€¦

22 for everything, 30 was for the leds only

i think i will be opening mine this week for a change of paint if i do i will post some pics of the leds conection

i did the led mod on the TE stick but before that i tested it on the SE stick and screw up the whole PCB so i think i might try again to drill the PCB and put some custom led if it work i sure will post pic

Do I need to run anything to the Home ground or does the start/select ground take care of that for me?

Edit: Sorry for the image tags.

start/select gound take care of it

Hey ShinJN. I ordered over a month ago and just built my stick with the axisdapter today. Great work. Im going nuts over here trying to figure out why my L1 and L2 buttons are being reported as Square and X. Iā€™ve rewired everything and try turning the cable around. Could there be a defect in the board? Its not a biggie. I have a Cthulhu in a 6 button stick I can swap with the axis and everything would work out fine, just wondering if you had any ideas on what I could check?

Jest, you have your grounds mixed up for L1 and L2. Most likely you are chaining CMNĀ® with L1 and L2.

See my post I made when I tested the different common ā€œgroundsā€.

O.K. here goes. I found the buttons on my SE SF IV stick werenā€™t working so I opened it up. Found out that there is a short somewhere in my power cord. Only the action buttons werenā€™t working (PS, Turbo and stick functions were fine) so I tried fixing it to no avail. I actually threw the thing in the dumpster (after spending money on soldering irons and hot glue gun + accesories ) and didnā€™t worry about it. Was searching online for a replacement that night when I came upon this thread and did some dumpster diving early the next morning.
I have ordered the AXISdapter and will be ordering a Neutrik B USB-A but I was wondering if anyone can do a walkthrough with pics for the SE stick. I have been lurking and I must say that you guys have some gorgeous projects going (you thought I was gonna say gorgeous sticks didnā€™t you LOL) especially that one with the traditional Japanese artwork made of wood from other44.
Thanx for all the help in advance!!!

I just got mine wired to the HRAP3 I just picked up and it works beautifully. Iā€™m having a semi-unrelated issue though. I went for the slagcoin start/select=home trick and it works fineā€¦ once the stick is turned on. I have to create a short by connecting a wire to the normal home+ground to turn it on, then it works great after that. Any help here?

I think the short had something to do with the cord being folded for a extended period while I was taking a hiatus from SF IV. Iā€™m just going to wait for my parts to come in. Thanx though.

Could not have been easier! Thanks for the great product! Please excuse my ratā€™s nest wiring
