Thx but all items i have purchased in USA were with Priority Mail and i havent payed any custom taxes. Dont know if with Express Mail i have to pay it.

So I went through this whole thread yesterday and I’ve got a couple questions about putting this in my VSHG. Let me say I’m an electronics noob so bear with me…

The buttons in a VSHG all have individual ground wires. How do I hook those up to the Axisdapter? Do I need to get new wire and daisy chain the grounds together or is there a way to use the existing wires?

Also, anyone know how to wire up the 4 little buttons that have their own PCB. Do I just splice the wires that run to the separate PCB and run them to their corresponding connectors on the Axisdapter? As far as I can tell that’s the only way to get them to work. They’re kinda set up like a joystick with a single ground to all 4.

u must connect all button grounds each other so u only have 1 ground for all of them.

Just to let you know I was in a wallmart in vegas that had 15 ps3 controllers in stock that all appeared to be the older style 20 pin socket because of the third piece of plastic between the shoulder buttons…

I bought one and opened the controller and guess what I found? a press on ribbon connector…

So it appears that the shoulder piece alone is not enough to tell if a dualshock 3 will work with your axisdapter. However I do notice that the plastic has a matte finish like the newer dualshock 3 controllers molded from two pieces of plastic… The original sixaxis and dualshock 3 with the 20 pin socket appear to have that shiny plastic finish… So perhaps the controller people should look for when they want to use axisdapter should have the third plastic piece between the shoulder buttons + shiny plastic finish…

Same thing with me… Got two DS3s and looked for the “telltale” indicator… but what do I get??? Press on adapter!! Surprise!!

Maybe I can go to GS and try to reduce my $ losses by selling this controllers.

Got the AXISdapters today… they look great! Thanks ShinJN… too bad I’ll have to scout around for some Sixaxis controllers now.

i cant wait to get mine rolling. i already have it wired up and just waiting for online orders to open up to get a jlf harness and find a sixaxis pcb. im replacing the hori pcb im my hrap3 and wiring the axisdapter to make start + select activate the home button, so i wont have to drill and add a new home button. waiting for online stores to open up sucks, this has been the longest week ever.

I have updated the first post to make it more reader friendly. I have also increased the price of the boards by $2. The new batch I will be getting will be smaller than what I was getting in the past (manufacturer cutbacks?). Also, the special colors do add to the cost, unfortunately =(

New batch of boards should be here in under two weeks. I hope. Those waiting, please be patient.
