If you just starting out pick a few characters who’s mechanics feel good to you. Play around with the order of said team.
Do not be afraid to try out other characters. Not only will that give you match up “experience” you may find that you mesh well with a different character then you thought.
Practice, and practice some more in training mode.

FYI Magneto is a beast.

Chris/Deadpool/Akuma seems like a good team, I believe I saw Honzo Gonzo (Or someone on his stream) playing it and it looked rather promising.

thanks
i think when i get the chance to test against a savvy person
i will put mags on anchor and the seismo hammer seems good too. i need to learn how to be more mobile with mags so the burn kick assist can go on the back burner

Edit also how would the team be if i switched out viper and put dante with jam session
the team reading as

dante/jam session
dorm/dark hole
magneto/emp distruptor

Thinking of trying out:

Zero/Taskmaster/Nova
Viper/Taskmaster/Super Skrull

Not bad at all but a stronger composition would be Viper/Dante/Magneto IMO.

Just re-posting from last page, if that’s okay. :3

Some of the characters listed are almost exclusively point characters (Phoenix Wright, Zero, Iron Fist) who need teams built around them to reach their maximum potential. Nova can only provide a high/ground bounce assist, which is not substantial enough for these characters. Iron Man is the only one that can provide real support in the form of Unibeam (beam) and Repulsor Blast (lockdown), but he is very difficult to play.

In addition, none of them make good anchors because they can’t play solo well.

I recommend that you branch out and look at other characters; instead of comprising your team of 3 characters that you really like, form a team with one character that you really like and then 2 characters for support.

The best team from those characters (if you want Spiderman) might be Spiderman/Iron Fist/Iron Man or Sipderman/Nova/Iron Man? Iron Man anchor is usually not a very good idea, though.

Anyone got a solid filler character for a team Deadpool (quick work)/X/Doom (missiles).
Been playing Tasky as a second there, he gives a nice horizontal assist for Deadpool and his zoning/teleport mixups. But was wondering what other characters could fill this spot?

Appreciate any feedback!

Alright then. Thanks for the help!

I want to improve my team, and learn as many of the advanced methods and techniques that I can. Do you all have any recommendations for me? Any help is appreciated! I run-
Nemesis: on point with Launcher Slam
Taskmaster: with horizontal arrows
Wesker: anchor with Samurai Edge

In terms of more advanced things, I occasionally reset with Nemesis, and can do his reset set up using Wesker’s assist after an air combo. I also have started frequently using stinger after shield slam with Taskmaster, after seeing it at Evo. I also like to cancel his spidey swing into arrows.

Any help is appreciated, thanks! And sorry if this isn’t the right place to post, I’m new to SRK forums.

Is there anyway to put Deadpool and Wesker together on a team? I really like Wesker and I want to learn Deadpool, but have no idea who to fill in for the last spot or what order to even place them in.

Deadpool/Wesker/Sentinel or Wesker/Deadpool/Sentinel. That’s probably the best way to play it. I prefer having deadpool on point because his OTG move forces a ground bounce so having Samurai Edge will give you another OTG to use before you mess around with your ground bounce. Drones is just always a good assist at all times, but Akuma with Tatsu assist would probably work too.

Thanks man. Really appreciated.

Could C.Viper and Nova somehow be on a team together? I was planning on making that my main team if it’s a possibility.

Edit: I’ve made a team consisting of C.Viper/Nova/Morrigan with some success. Viper with seismo, Nova with Nova strike, and Morrigan with Dark Harmonizer. 'Tis good, yes? No?

Hey!

My main team : Hulk (Gamma Wave) - Iron Man (Unibeam) - Hawkeyes (Violet Fizz)

As of now I’ve work on this team a lot and with the recent discovery of a new glitch (the Team Aerial Glitch)
I would love to know if my team can perform this glitch…I don’t really need it since I OCKO with ease…maybe I even use the Team Aerial Glitch…
Would be a lot easier if I had some kind of recording device…

Edit: I can Switch 5 time character in the air without touching the ground. is that normal?

I’ve gotten to the point where my solo character knowledge is pretty good. I’ve just been having trouble crafting a well rounded team. So I’ve got…

Zero - y on point
Viper - b as second
Akuma - b on anchor

I love Zero’s playstyle, and he seems like he has a good number of FAIRLY easy loops and combos. Vipet having an otg assist about as good as Wesker’s is the main reason she’s there. I despise Wesker as a character in this game, and as a character in RE. And Akuma, with experience, is a pretty brutal anchor. Level 3 X Factor Akuma is just outright dirty. His assist is also a nice gtfo assist.

That’s my team and the reasonings behind him. Does it sound well rounded? What would you do to make it a little better? I’m ready for all kinds of criticism, so go wild.

So im trying to play Felicia and Vergil, and I need input on who to put as my 3rd character as well as what order and assist I should use with this team.

Seismo for Zero is kinda redundant. If you’re playing Zero needing an OTG assist, you’re playing him wrong. I’d recommend changing to Burn Kick for Viper; it’s heaps better because it hits high. Your team is really solid otherwise. You should be able to do relatively well, provided you like and are proficient with all of your characters. If that’s all you want, great. If you’re not satisfied with just “solid”, read on.

Zero is a character that you don’t really need to build a team around because he’s good enough by himself, but obviously optimising your team always helps. The best assists for Zero I would say are Dante’s Jam Session and Doom’s Hidden Missiles. Sentinel’s Sentinel Force (charge) AKA drones is good too, but Sent isn’t a very good character and is likely to be a liability on your team so I would avoid him. If you want a really good team, you have to learn either Dante or Doom. Then, you just need a good anchor (preferably with a good assist and enough synergy with your second character so that you can function if Zero dies). In my opinion, the best Zero team is Zero | Dante | Hiryu (my team). Other good options are Zero | Dante | Vergil and Zero | Doom | Hiryu. If you want to keep a similar team to what you already have, you could try Zero | Dante | Akuma or Zero | Doom | Akuma.

There are several team threads here on SRK. I think there are two in the main UMvC3 forum, and there should be a separate one for each character in the character forums. Should you have any team-related questions in the future, you should probably go to one of those.

Anyway, you can start by replacing Nemesis with a high/top tier character. If you’re dedicated to Nemesis, though, (which is fine if you are) you’re going to need some really good assists to make up for his flaws. I don’t know anything about the character, so I can’t really help you beyond that.

If you want to keep nemesis, then the team is fine. Wesker and taskmaster work extremely well together. But I prefer Wesker second and taskmaster third
