All she really needs IMO is slightly. I’d ideally want her faster than Ken, tied or just under Ibuki, but I would settle for being tied with Abel.

Ibuki speed would be just perfect.

But all I can read from “slightly” is that she went from Juri to T.Hawk walk speed. Hopefully that isn’t the case at all.

They actually mention Sagat and T. Hawk in one sentence, so perhaps you do have a reason to be worried.

It basically says the opponent will be launched at the height where (when the body is flat in the air) his ass is as high as Juri’s face. In ssf4 the ass height is around Juri’s waist.

hmm if fireball store puts them in a juggle state maybe we could have this in the corner:

hit confirm> fireball kick> cl.st.hp > lk/ex pinwheel

seems like another option for a solid amount of damage off a simple hit confirm.

also, can anyone confirm if she can reset after the fireball store ?

It is a reset if the kick hits an airborne opponent.

I’m after losing respect for Daigo, has he forgotten about the time a certain American player said that another certain character was ass. If I remember correctly, said player was beaten by another player who was using said character. :wink:

lol don’t take it personal. honestly as far as the big picture go, juri will be better but she won’t be as good as ken, yang, and fei for example. but she’ll at the very least be competitive and probably mid tier-ish once everything is said and done.

But all she needs is pinwheel to not trade with everything, and not be throwable…with a slight adjustment to her normals OR FASTER (than AE) walk speed. She would be at least solid mid tier. Because then shes a little less useful than Ryu imo. In what she lacks in her normals linking into each other she makes up for in her juggles and her different fireball system.

I was too afraid to do it…you’re asking for a reversal with this, lol. Nevertheless, very nice. If you can ex fireball after a fireball kick I wouldnt be shocked if you couldnt reset with sc.mp at least in FSE. Furthermore, you now have a fireball stored for mix up.

  3. new corner combo: fireball kick -> fireball kick Again, another reset but if you see this as silly you’re sadly mistaken. Now I have a low and mid fireball stored! Guess what I’m gonna do? C.hp xx low (if hit, continue, if not throw mix up) > c.mp > mid > c.mk xx Pinwheel

  4. new combo: fireball kick -> low fireball -> super Hit confirmable and probably easier than off a sempusha. Damage data would be needed

Don’t worry about it, its probably the tiredness from college this week is making me cranky, which has affected my game and mood.

I’ll be content with having her somewhere in mid-tier as well. Still, having Daigo saying something like that isn’t going to help an already unpopular character!

Faster than AE? Do we have confirmation on just what her walkspeed is yet?
And according to the blog her normals and hitboxes were adjusted.
Kail are you in japan or have you seen videos or something, because you sound very conclusive despite us only getting vague sentences from the AE.

I’m actually quite happy with what i’ve heard so far. Faster walk speed is eh, but anything is better than current walk speed. The fireball kick resets are quite nice. ANytime i can store a fireball safely, i’m happy.
