Why is Freddie Prinze Jr on this fucking show? What positives does he bring that outweighs all of his negatives? The guy from “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and “I STILL Know What You Did Last Summer” is the guy we’re supposed to believe can fill Jack’s shoes? The guy that played the sweater-wearing douchebag from Scooby Doo is a guy we want protecting our nation from terrorists?
I’ve asked this question to many of my friends and none of them have an acceptable answer.

CTU was decomissioned and Jack was tried by the Senate for killing bad guys. The FBI, including a hot redhead and Jack sympathizer, stops the trial and asks for Jack’s help in tracking down Zombie Tony Almeida, who everybody thought was dead in Season 5. Basically Tony went super-undercover to draw out the leader of a terrorist funding group that was responsible for the death of his wife Michelle in Season 5. Tony killed people on both sides to reach his personal goal. Jack stopped Tony and the leader was in custody in the last episode. Oh yeah and Bill Buchanan died. Also Kim and Jack are on friendly terms again.
If you want the rest of the useless details you can go here, but I think that’s all you really need to know about S7 before going into S8.
