I enjoyed this season in all its silliness until the last 45 minutes. To be honest, Jack was the worst part about the ending. All he did was mumble and grumble and cry and the islam consult almost made me slam my laptop. That was a rediculous amount of cheese, even by 24 standards.
That last shot of Darth Tony was awesome, and finally after hearing his side of the story Darth Tony actually MAKES SENSE.
I like the Presidential saga more. My girl sided with the President and I sided with the First Gentlemen, so I guess the writers made a pretty nice conundrum there.
The Renee turn didn’t really move me. She’s a poor mans Jack. Very very poor. I too am tired of the “holy shit-fests” in 24. While it is cool to see Jack and Tony use Constructicons to wreak havoc, I would rather have character development. At least they are kind of doing that with Renee. If they had changed the last 30 minutes of this season I think it would have been great closure to the series.
Again, I ask. Why no mention of Bill Buchanon’s wife. She was a pretty big deal even though she had the charisma of a wood chipper.
I think it will be about that, but I also have a feeling that the main Patriot (either alan or BIG BOSSU) will be orchestrating a plan for alan’s escape, due to being a key member in the circle. I think the inner sanctum of the Patriots actually have some honor… maybe?
~OR, they could just bring back all the people whom had their neck snapped by Jack wreak havoc keeping up with the zombie theme.
Vladamir Bierko, Dubaku’s brother, and PWNED VIA BAUERKARANA would be the final bosses.
Which brings me to the idea they could use for the movie…
Right here.
I agree though, S8 should be the government vs. The Patriots/BIG BOSS BAUER. Plus, Cheng Zhi’s not dead (Last words to Bill (R.I.P.): “My people won’t abandon me like you abandoned Mr. Bauer.”) and I won’t be surprised if by “people” he meant The Patriots rather than the Chinese, despite the fact his sole purpose was to get justice for the Chinese Consulate getting capped by friendly fire before S6, in which he sided with BIG BOSS who’s tied to everything that happened in S5 so…
I guess they wanted her to be there physically rather than on dialogue yet Jayne Atkinson couldn’t make it, delay included. With all the detail they laid out this season (explanation for Tony’s disappearances/betrayal, Curtis/Chappelle, Hodges/Starkwood, Teri Teri and oh lil Teri, FOXDIE etc.) I wouldn’t say the producers didn’t TRY to reach her. Ignoring Marika/Dubaku, Larry/Renee, Vossler/bad actress wife + baby, First Family, etc. she wouldn’t have belonged anyway in comparison.
here’s a hint: Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon’s sparkling
So kiss me
If you know what movie made those particular lyrics famous, you’ll probably figure out who’s in next year.
Chase must’ve been suicidal, trying to be Jack’s Robin, AND making moves on Kim. That’s why he just faded from existence without anyone caring what happened to him, like Frank Grimes from The Simpsons.
That article is pure conjecture with a misleading title. Fox can be really dumb at times (see: fox butchering dragonball movie and deadpool), but replacing Jack Bauer would the biggest jump the shark moment in a while and they’d know it. They aren’t CBS, they can’t replace a main character like CBS did for CSI and still expect to pull in the ratings, even if Fox keeps House as a lead-in. It may have worked after season 3, with Chase replacing Jack. But after 7 seasons, and especially after season 4 when Jack pretty much increased his kill ratio to over 1 per episode 24 has become THE Jack Bauer Power Hour.
The article is just speculation from a silly writer. I’m sure they know that Jack IS 24 and they wouldn’t do something so collosally stupid as to write him out of the last season. We’d have to re-name “jump the shark” for something that horrible.
I’m more interested in why the prez has a new chief of staff. What happened to Kanin?
