What a filler ep…
Guess they had to do something to slow down the show.
No…
This is bad, VERY BAD!
[details=Spoiler] Prions are MUCH MUCH MUCH worse than viruses. For one, they eat through brain tissue like salt on a slug. Secondly they are virtually indestructable to any standard treatment due to their special protein composition. Prions are very heat resistant and chemical resistant.
There is nothing I can think of, short of some advanced sci fi nanobot technology that can save Jack. [/details]
This Ep

“But I don’t know Mr.Hodges.”
Tony is OG!
Seeing Agent Phoenix shed a tear for Jack makes her instantly wifey material, for any man!
Jonas Hodges and his weasel need a fourteenth circle in Hell where they can exposed to their biological weapon for all eternity.
I knew everything was going too well when Tony and uber weasel were walking in the compound with zero guards around. I just didn’t know it would be for a complete diversion like this.
Seeing Jack and Moss actually having a mini-moment was good.
Lastly, the reactions on the CDC Doc (who’s mad fine btw) and Agent Phoenix (ditto) upon seeing Bauer’s I-SAVED-THE-WORLD-SEVERAL-TIMES battlescars were cool. You really understand the story of his life with those scars.[/details]
Battleworn and war torn…*
the building scene
Spoiler
You HAD to know that was a bootleg play, you just HAD to
blahblah
[details=Spoiler]Oh yes… that doctor was quite delicious. It’s a shame she’s a minor character and probably won’t be seen again.
I was actually fooled by Jonas’ bullshit, since he seemed genuinely concerned that the Big Man has gone too far with things. Well, until the scene where they walked over to the area…you could tell something was up just from the tone of the scene.[/details]
Oh and Renee has some nice hips. I really need to see her wearing as little as possible someday…preferrably a black thong or some translucent lingerie.
I need to wife renee.
First I agree with you and Million, CDC Doc was deliciously fine. Like I’d take a prostate exam tomorrow, if it’d be requirements to get a taste. I hope she sticks around or her being shown so much in the previous preview was all just a horrible, effective but unnecessary ploy to watch this episode.
Tonight’s epi
[details=Spoiler] I knew dude was setting a trap by his facial expressions after the FBI landed and met up with Tony. That fool’s eyes said that something was not right with this deal. Tony must have been out of it not to notice before they went into the building.
First Daughter/Bitch might have some deeper connection with that one guy she was trying to push for the chief of staff position. Even though she hired on The Pierce aka Bobby Hill to be her full time SS agent and appears ready to give up the panties to kill a story next episode, I still wouldn’t be surprised if she pulled some Sherry type shit in the last episode setting the way for some other villain.
I can’t believe the President looked like she was about to jump out her seat when they told her Jack was innocent.
When people doubt his instincts again Jack should just start pulling a LL Cool J or Matthew McConaughey and take off his shirt so they know that he has been here and done that so they should shut up and watch.
[/details]
They should set up a get well soon website for Jack, like they did for Jack in the Box ‘Jack’ after he got hit by the bus.
If the next episodes follow the science behind that with any satisfying accuracy, if would have to be a first for the series. Most-if-not-all of the national security, network security or WMD terms they throw out are real, but they’re mostly treated like fantasy in the show.
having said that…
Spoiler
Jack is screwed, we can agree there. What the hell is the next season going to be like if Jack’s a time bomb?
Aaron
Spoiler
Dude has like the worst luck with administrations.
Jack’s big finish?
Spoiler
Perhaps he’ll pull a Mason and make the ultimate sacrifice in his last few moments before it eats him alive.
Nobody recognizes her??
http://24.wikia.com/wiki/Sunny_Macer <— contains big spoiler for tonite’s ep.
I knew there was going to be some kind of throwback to S3 at some point this season, once the bioweapon threat was revealed.
Jon Voight
Spoiler
I think Jon Voight may have the cure. There’s no known cure to the FBI, but I’m thinking Jon Voight has it and perhaps his real scheme is not to actually attack the country, but to blackmail it, by selling the antidote or something like that, and Jack will somehow get his hands on it.
There’s a difference between explosion physics and biological science. Otherwise no action movie could work since cars don’t explode etc… etc…
But dealing with an infection from which no cure exists is another thing. Foxdie =/
Disclaimer!!! Reiterating Next Season Spoilers!
Spoiler
Well based on the fact that season 8 is supposed to be 2 days after this one, I think they have something interesting planned.
I just remember the nerve gas plot in S5 being completely bull. You can’t protect yourself from lethal nerve agent by wearing plain clothes, covering your mouth and holding your breath, and wearing the same clothes for hours after exposure. And facilities exposed to most nerve agents are rendered uninhabitable almost permanently. They just walked over both those rules in S5.
Even the CIP device in this season is based on a real device, but in the show it just became a catch-all MacGuffin for taking over any electronic system (‘my toaster is alive!’)
But I can excuse how sloppily they handled a nuke detonated in a dense metro area in S6… only because that whole season was a trainwreck.
I get the point that he’s struck with Mad Jack Disease, but I’m expecting them to fudge the facts (specifically the time table before debilitating symptoms appear). That said, I haven’t read any S8 spoilers.
^ Despite the obvious flaws you just pointed out I still love S5. I’d rank it as one of the best seasons. Henderson is an S rank villain and while the Logan reveal I didn’t like at first they ended up explaining it well enough that it all made sense by the end of the season. In an interview with Gregory Itzin he said one of the reasons they casted him is because he resembled Nixon.
You know how they have the Betty Ford Center for alcoholics? I bet they built a Martha Logan Center for FRUIT LOOPS Americans.
Before Jack had Renee craving for the BAUER SEED he was living with http://24.wikia.com/wiki/Diane_Huxley.
Quick, someone tier the women who have received or wanted to receive the BAUER SEED. Honestly, I’d have to put Teri near the bottom.
24 was nominated and won an Emmy award for best Drama series after season five. Director Jon Cassar won an award for outstanding directing, Kiefer won for best leading actor and both Gregory Itzin and Jean Smart were nominated for supporting actor awards.
Even though we can all agree S6 was the worst season of 24 it’s still better than most other scripted shows. Herlulz comes to mind.
I like Night’s idea. I was also thinking the same lines.
Did anyone else notice the look Tony gave the Weasel? If there’s a firefight that guy is going to find a bullet in his back.
I kinda’ knew that corporate suit would turn out to be a sellout with Tony. He has been working too long with Hodges to stab him in the back for his own personal sake.
Anytime a biological or chemical weapon is created, there’s usually an antidote. Hodges has got to have it stored somewhere. Just not necessarily on his compound.
Looks like Moss fell for the trap…
Poor Aaron. He wanted so badly to get out of the game, but Olivia just wasn’t having it & pulled him back in.
I think my favorite thing about last night’s episode is that we’ve seen Larry Moss take a total turnaround. When Weasel lied about Tony threatening him and Tony got all mad and told Larry that he was set up, Larry’s response was, “Yeah, looks like it.” I mean, only 4 hours ago, he probably would have yelled at Tony and accused him of lying. But now, he believes Tony 100% right off the bat.
Even Moss knows, now, that you can’t doubt Jack or any of team Psycho.
- James
P.S. Renee tears =
If Moss makes it through this season, he might be the final 24 good guy boss.
