Coop has lost his damn mind Kobe isn’t preventing this team from being good, this team wouldn’t be good without him. We wouldn’t even be good if we happened to get Lamarcus Aldridge this roster is garbage outside of a few players. The problem is too many people had expectations for this crap team and wasn’t willing to admit it to began with.
We have practically 2 rookies and a second year player in the starting lineup and none of them come close to playing defense and Kobe hasn’t played defense in about 5 years now. Clarkson, Randle and Russell are just names and fans are living through what they expect them to be in the future. They’re not there yet and we don’t even know if they ever will be the players people expect them to be.
Clarkson gets beat on every screen he encounters, sure coaching has something to do with it but these players need to start taking some accountability for their half assed performances as well.
Whiteside is officially the best center in the league. It’s not enough that he’s scoring (20+ in three games so far) but he’s avoiding foul trouble and making free throws (4-5 tonight), which were his two weaknesses. And he’s still dominant in rebounds and blocks.
Once he gets his assists up, he’ll be the total package.
Kobe’s shot selection this season so far has been the worse I’ve seen throughout his career. However, with or without him the Lakers are bad team compared to most of these other teams in the west. I don’t think that’s up for much debate.
Dude is ridiculous. Too bad he’ll have to do that like 10 more times before any national broadcast mentions his name.
He and DeAndre are bringing in the new age of centers. Given Drummond has a better offensive game, but tall, lanky type dudes who just rebound like crazy and keep a high FG% off lobs, put backs and easy setups.
It’s not About them becoming good
Lakers are all ISO players
The youngins can’t develop
Kobes always been a rogue and has sequences of greatness but it’s time for a new regime and he is trying to do a farewell world tour
Even though it worked last game, I don’t like when Spo goes small and plays only Bosh or Whiteside. I think Bosh is a great stretch and both can benefit from being together on the court (Whiteside assisting Bosh outside, Whiteside putting back whatever Bosh misses, etc). But yeah, 3.7 blks per game on average is no joke. I’m glad I picked him over Gobert on my 3rd pick
I’ll say it. I was one of the Knicks fans who didn’t want porzingis… But man am I impressed with his game thus far, barring the bone head defensive mishaps he is coming along nicely
