this is because i got banned from godweapon for owning him with a character i dont use (yang). then he got mad when i had a scheduled game to play with nica KO and he didnt wanna leave, so i switched servers and he banned me lol.
anyways yeah this is gonna be on P2P now, so if you dont have it, go and get it to participate.
damn but what if everyone cant host…thats gonna be a problem…if anything just ask supra or another admin to un bann you or something…either that or use a different server like daroms or something
P2p sounds cool and all but I wonder if that may be too much trouble to do it p2p only. At least with a server teams can meet up and discuss things and its easier to get things going. With P2p all your communciations much be done through other means further complicating the process.
I say lets leave it up to the players discretion as to where they would like to have their battles.
And like Nice KO said have someone unban you. Thats a lame reason to get banned so I’m sure they will unban you.
While we are on the subject of p2p, am I the only one who feels that playing p2p can feel smoother yet be choppier at moments then playing on a server? I’ve noticed that connections are usually less prone to wierd jerks in the latency while on a server than on P2P. Of course, P2p “feels” more responsive so who knows.

damn it man that is bs…now idk if i can join cuz if i cant host and i cant keep in contact with everyone and if other ppl cant host how am i gonna get my matches in…plus in the team tournament some ppl need to know who theyre partners are and if they dont show…how will the other players know that…lack of communication in a tournament can rly mess it up whether it be online or offline…if this tournament is p2p then idk if i can enter…
p.s- i didnt know nox was the OWNER of GW…i thought someone like supra fast owned it or something but damn banning someone just for that is pure nonsense
Its like I said before we can still have it in GodWeapon. Its just that Magneto and others may not be able to join it. So for the most part we can still setup chats and things in GodWeapon. We should just leave it up to the player’s discretion as to where they want the matches to take place. Besides, even before if you wanted to have your match in another server you could. I don’t think this new system will affect us too much.
However, it is just going to require Magneto to be on the ball as far as updating this thread. I say every 5 minutes Magneto gives us an update so the ball keeps rolling. Also once the brackets are in place we’ll at least know who we are fighting first.
I must admit though that the singles tournament may be a little insane with the many combatants participating. You really need an up to the minute chat system going. I would recommend IRC but thats just another tool that a lot of people may not know how to setup.
Magneto, why don’t you have one of your teamates take care of the communication aspect in GodWeapon? You can update this thread and tell your partner to keep people updated live in the server. That way the singles tournament can keep going at a brisk pace.

i can do it…its just with the amount of ppl entering and how many matches will be going on…im gonna need some help…taking results has been a hassle before…ppl enter and say i won i lost shit like that all the time…so it will be difficult unless someone else can handle another part of the results…or better yet we can have one chat for winners brackets and another for losers brackets and you report to those chat rooms and wait for your next match…but yeah as saymon said mag you gotta be ready with updates for this to run smooth…and besides if mag is the only thats banned it wont be that big of a problem as i thought…cuz since he can host you can get your matches in with anyone since all they need to do is connect…but as for the results part…ill take the losers bracket side…anyone up for taking the winners brackets side i can give you mags screen name to keep in touch

The great thing about that place is that its also on the East Coast and for the most part it is empty all the time allowing us to communicate to everyone better. Of course, Magneto wouldn’t be banned there so it can help things move along faster.

i concur…i mentioned that idea too but idk its up to mag to decide that…he did say he cant hit confirm on that thing so…
ill hit u up on aim later there is a way u can host but u need hamachi it gives u another ip and u create a 2 person server
u have the other person join the server then they put in the ip u give them into p2p after u create a game and it will work

well p2p tournaments in general dont go so welll thats why im against the idea of having a p2p tournament…im not anti p2p its just why go through so much when we can just change servers…but ive been hearing about hamachi…whats the difference…would ppl have to forward ports to host and stuff like that
i got in today. i might have been unbanned.
since nox wants to advertise HIS SERVER and this tournament will be a great turnout, he may have just unbanned me for the time being. so if im not banned on the day, ill be able to run it.
if not i’d need a good volunteer to run it from the inside of the server. i dont think its likely. sorry for the troubles fellaz

hamachi is a program u use in addition to p2p its makes it so u dont have to forward ports
it creates a vpn between the 2 people
oh ok thats good then…so i would just download hamachi and i wouldnt have to forward ports…now another question is how would i be able to create a game…do i just open up mame and create the game in p2p or do i have to do some crazy shit with hamachi in order to do so…
Mag: thats good to hear…nox probrably banned you for the day so maybe you might be able to handle the tournament on monday…but its as i said…if that doesnt work i can help you out…its just i think it would run smoother if 2 ppl were to handle one part of the brackets…i would take losers bracket as i said before and someone else would have to take winners side…THAT is if you cant get in on monday mag
