that assumes that each piece of evidence has he same percentage chance of picking up attached to it. i reckon its probly gonna be around the 60/40 mark.
This isn’t assumption, this is from Seth’s mouth from the Sunday Capcom Unity stream when he was answering questions after Phoenix’s Thursday reveal. Check out this video starting at 31:30 http://www.twitch.tv/capcomunity/b/297532323
Here’s an abridged version of what was said:
**Q: **Are there combinations of good evidence, or are they always the same?
**Seth: **No, there are different combinations of good evidence. So the good evidence is not always the same, or rather, there’s different evidence that counts as good evidence. Like the knife is always a good piece of evidence; the folder is always a good piece of evidence. The uh, whatever it is. The ginko tree (he later remembers it’s a bonsai tree)? Anyway, yeah, that’s always a bad piece of evidence.
First post amended.
That is better, it would be easier to familiarize with good evidence
Its finally here!
Max provided a lot of good info.
Dat evidence projectile while in turnabout… that’s insanely fast. And they all track.
Just imagine that + Xfactor… you don’t even need the finger o.o;
Incredible video. One thing I noticed that was very different from Seth’s rundown, is that Max never used the word random. He showed how each piece of evidence has a property that remains the same and that Hold It stuns after 3 hits. I remember Seth saying those were both random. Maybe Seth clarified it and I missed it, or it was changed?
Special move names are genius. They really pushed it with the fan service.
Goddamn, vanilla Wright looks slightly less impressive when being shown off in this context, but Turnabout Wright seems to compensate even more for it every time I see him in action. I really hope professional players succeed in bringing out his true colors.
Read up 5 posts o_O
It does not seem like it will be difficult at all to get to turnabout mode so I expect to see a lot of High level PW play and often…
looks Well, 'bout time I mossy off to the 'ol embarrassment hole. Thanks for pointing out my oversight.
At any rate, my interest in Wright is much higher now, although that could just be UltraDavid’s pizzazz wooing me.
Looks like Amaterasu and Hulk are going to have competition in the H mashing department I can see it now…
L,M,H,fH(OBJECTION!),H,jH,cH,H,H,H,Ace Attorney for easy, absolutely ridiculous damage.
Wait, he can chain into Objection?
Can he get in easily, though? The insane damage output means little if he has trouble actually starting the ToD.
Unless Max showed off some sick mobility options that he has. I don’t have access to YouTube right now, so did I miss something in that department?
Not so sure about that it’s not that important because even if he can’t it doesn’t matter because he can just do the attorney strut after the L,M,H and then objection, proceeding to do the rest of the combo afterwards.
Wright has poor groundspeed and an ineffective wavedash, plus his normals have fairly weak hitboxes except for his S (objection looks pretty decent too), but this shouldn’t be that much of a concern since you are meant to be zoning/collecting evidence before you go into turabout mode through his decent ranged objection where range will no longer be an issue with Wright being able to finger people from across the entire screen.
Nah, Nick still can’t really move.
Random note: is anyone else going to hope that they get the knife every time? That triple shot looks mean.
Damn his wavedash sucks. Oh well, he can at least jump cancel it…
I find it hard to believe that the lvl3’s 0 frame as Max claims though. That would mean that not blocking before the super flash gurantees it… (?)
Objection can be used mid-combo. Its shown in the Assist me video, when he combos into Ace Attorney.
Speaking of the assist me video, I think I heard Max say the Dragon Fang assist from IF has invincibilty… That sounds pretty good for Wright, since it puts them almost full-screen/full screen, and we can gather evidence. Kinda like a wall-bouncing, horizontal Corridor…
a lot of my doubts were confirmed in the video, but that turnabout mode is either going to be really easy to deal with or be a major incentive for wright getting rushed down early
Will assists be able to help him out or will he end up being overwhelmed by rushdown all of the time? Kind of worried about that.
