That’s a magnetic blast combo, but I see your point. Try crouching l. Before I left to China, I found out that in X - Factor, crouching l., in spite of its terrible range, is the most consistent normal to link (well, in the corner anyway) when you’re not in Turnabout mode and you can combo into Objection (cr.l, st.h, illuminating point, objection).
I see what you’re getting at with the Nemo team, where you use Spencer assist with Nova on point, get a stun, raw tag to Wright and kill. But that team is lacking a good neutral assist (i.e. Bolts). I will play with it when I get back.
The Doom thing isn’t new unfortunately. It’s good, but it’s not new. Mr. Mew Mew (aka Ragequit) does this sometimes in his matches. He plays on the verssuscotland stream. Though I didn’t think of that ender with Doom + dog. Good stuff.
I’ve been trying to find a Trial Mode TAC infinite combo for a while, but there’s one place that I keep getting stuck at. So far I have:
(TAC), 2S (Whiffed down TAC), land, forward jump, j.m, j.h, j.h, land
I’m in a seemingly suitable place to continue a TAC combo similar to a normal jump loop (like jump, j.m, j.h, j.h, land, jump, etc.), but for some reason I can’t continue the combo, even with a jumping light. I can’t find a single reason why I SHOULDN’T be able to continue, but until I figure out what the hell is wrong with my combo, I’m stuck. Anybody want to help?
I’d love to, but my disk is done for. That said, if memory serves me right, the trick to a standard TAC infinite is that you need to hit the opponent just as you hit the ground. Also, what does “2S” mean?
Yeah I’m not sure if touching the ground then jumping again works though Ironman’s one allows you to touch the ground but that’s because the j.S spike occurs so close to the ground. In addition, you need your attack to hit but not finish its animation by the time you hit the ground. That clearly isn’t the case since I see all of Wright’s attacks finishing their animation.
Well, probably not new and its situational stuff but apparently with Wright and Doom depending on the spacing. After Judge hyper into sphere flame the sphere would miss but apparently you still gave time to air dash in and pick the opponent up with Doom for a combo.
Also if any Wright players here are going to EVO, good luck and may the glory of victory be yours. (If anyone gets that quote reference.)
I must admit, I have no idea what you are referencing, but either way thanks for the good luck wish. This will be my first Evo and I am pretty nervous about it, but I am definitely playing Wright all the way through! We should have an all PW pre-evo Lobby. It would be a great way to practice and share our tech before heading out there. Anyone else up for it?
Once again strongly advise against using wright for evo since he’s just gonna burn you out quickly, but it’s ultimately your choice. If you’re going there to have fun then by all means go crazy with that guy. If you want to win however then have backups. Regardless I’ll always have respect for people using that guy in a major. Good luck broskis.
