I was being sarcastic. Everybody calls everybody racist these days, so I figured I’d jump on that bandwagon. You’re all a bunch of racists!
That’s only because you (and me) weren’t alive for Reagan, and JFK before him, and Truman before him, and Teddy Roosevelt before him, and so on and so forth back to Washington.
Obama’s no different from any of a long series of other politicians before him who pop up every 25 or so years.
I’m willing to give him a chance…
It’s as it’s said by many people that we is all tired of Bush, Clinton, Bush. No more of this shit.
Who cares about color?
Personally, having a half black pres. ain’t half bad (NOT a racist comment).
We’re human. So far, we’re the strongest willed creature in the universe. Our will, determination, & effort makes us stronger & more capable of accomplishing our tasks & trials. If we thought this way as a whole, we’d be a stronger, more compassionate & respected country. If we go for the throat of every other personal difference, yea, we may strengthen ourselves, but it’s only to use our new strength, will, & all the like, against eachother. Whether we’re colorblind, or hate every color the same, we still here niggas! One man can make a difference, but that’s if that difference affects many.
Obama sorta seems like the Pac in politics.
HUH? I got negged by a bitch. Hmm… I ain’t mad about gettin negged, or by the kiddy comment left behind…
“shut your fucking mouth son before I come to Ogden to fuck your fucking shit up you hear me son?”
That’s somethin a bitch nigga’d say…
anyway(Other than havin green like, an hour ago), go Obama!
it’s crazy…
I thought this shit would get waaay more replies…
Being the srk “racist” around here…
I think that obama may have changed my thinking…
evben thou i agree with pastor wrights statements…
it’s also true that i should bring out my frustrations like an adult…
and discuss them and quit being so angry at white folks…
although it pisses me off i thin k this guy (obama) has what it takes to finally unify the race war in america…
And fuck what you hear race is the biggest issue in america…
at least in my opinion…
And Obama triangles jumps from mediocrity to democratic candidate.
There are many big issues, and it’s easier to just say fuck all of them and just ignore all of it.
As far as running for president goes, I think McCain has an advantage because most of America is pro-war.
It’s like Bush vs Kerry, no one wants war but everyone votes for it.
If Mccan has an advantage, it’s cause he’s white male. I mean the US is a patriarch supremicist state, the Dems got two strikes!
Most people don’t want to talk about race in a frank manner.
What I like about obama is that he put it out there like that.
“Here is how a politician would normally handle this issue” and “This is how we should handle it and how I’m going to handle it.”
He took a risk to try and move things in the right direction, instead of doing the “smart” thing and pandering to the american people’s need to feel that everything is alright all the time.
If anyone thinks hillary clinton wouldn’t have done exactly what obama said and denounced whoever and hope it went away, they are deluded. It is a real issue with a real effect on the country and Hillary Clinton wouldn’t have touched that issue with a 10 ft pole at any point during her presidency.
I won’t even include John McCain in that statement after his whole postion change on Pat Robertson and company in order to get nominated.
Obama is done
Ironically if Obama becomes president he’s going to catch a lot of shit from people who are married to the idea of being disenfranchised and mistreated, so whenever he messes up it’s because he’s not black enough, or not REALLY black, or how if he were REALLY a black man, he’d do (insert whatever their own personal want is).
Basically, some people have already decided that the world is upside down and unfair and against them etc, and they will make Obama’s actions fit that role, no matter what.
I concur.
He will be shot soon, in the heart.
no doubt. well, put.
cough Geraldine Ferraro cough
Also, I’m curious… to the people who say this speech will hurt Obama’s candidacy: how??? That speech was honest and inspiring, and I don’t think I’ve heard any political speech since JFK that has moved me as deeply. Either that, or my standards have deteriorated drastically after 8 years of a guy with the eloquence of a somber chimpanzee behind a presidential podium.
hahaa
white people arent allowed to talk about race in a frank manner
if Hillary or any other white politician were in an analogous scenario their campaign would have been stopped in its tracks (that is why white people are so damn sure to immediately distance from associates that make the most borderline comments that may be construed as racist and then people lie you still crack them for the act of dissociation)
nobody else could have delivered that kind of speech without ignoramases buggin 100X more than they are now
^^^^^^this
heads are paranoid
and so comfortable playing socirty’s victim (follwing their ‘comunity leaders’)
if he ever becomes pres this will be the daily grind (vics gotta have someone to blame)
I’m don’t think I agree but I’m following your assumption for this argument.
If this issue is a problem in this country
And white people (for social reasons) can’t address it
And there is a candidate who (socially) can address it.
And is willing to address it
Doesn’t that stand as a major Plus for him.
According to you argument as long as the president is white this issue has no chance of being worked out.
I’m not saying we should elect obama for this reason alone, but it does seem to be an exclusive benefit of his presidency if we are going by your statement.
I don’t recall posting this.
Anyway Obama has the potential to make major changes. Not that it’ll matter in the long run.
yeah
that is pretty much what i think
i wasnt dissing Obama, in and of itself it was a great speech i thought
but that is his only redeeming factor imo, but does it (should it) take a president to do that?
given that i dont beleive it is within the preseidents ability to change the collective mindset of the country or to solve social dillemmas like race relations,
where does tha leave us?
following your logic (double devil’s advocate): it leaves us with people wanting a black preseident for the sake of having a black president
we all know what goes down when that comes out a white’s mouth
see, it is vicous circle that a pres can not stop
This is free. Obama got this.
Edit: I LOVVVEE watching people get mad at obama (for whatever reason) It’s so funny to me. FREE
No because any solution is half baked. If people will only listen to a solution from a person of a particular race, well, that sounds pretty racist, so what kind of solution could it be anyway?
