In the same boat, preordered at the Gamestop in Sherwood and they said it’s not going to be in until tomorrow. It sounds like most GS’s in the Portland area got it today but this one didn’t. Screw the rest of y’all.

I had a pretty dissapointing day with SF4 so far.
First, the gamecrazy guy mixes up Tournament and Collectors Edition sticks on the phone, even though I asked him twice and talk to 2 different people. So I drive way the fuck around for nothing. WAY THE FUCK AROUND.
Second, my tournament stick I ordered isn’t even in, and may not be in for a week. Could be week, could be tommorow. (Note to GameCrazy guy: Please just say a week next time, so I don’t feel like punching you in the face for being vague.)
Third, I call in a few hours before the tournament and ask when it is, and they say at 6, so I show up. There are a few people obviously waiting to play and they say nothing until I finally go up to them at 6:15 and they tell me they decided to switch it to tommorow. FUCK YOU! (Also, one of the controllers was broken)
Fourth, I took my MVC2 disc to get cleaned at a Gamecrazy, and it is now scratched beyond recovery by their amazing fucking machine. I had it re-cleaned at 3 seperate stores just to get it to the point where it is playable (if it still is), and the only scratches left on it are the huge ones they made.
This will probably be going in a letter to Gamecrazy corporate, minus the fuck you’s.
Leave 'em in there. I’ve only had good experience with Gamecrazy when one particular employee/manager-type worked there. He jumped ship to Gamestop a few years back (haven’t seen him anywhere since, though). Him aside… every experience with any of their stores… has sucked epic.
I hate that chain. You can tell that it took a great deal of desperation to get SFIV today for go there.
Then to find out that they had more pre-orders than copies to give… ugh.

I’ma be hella pissed if Gamestop doesn’t have my copy tomorrow for some stupid reason. And it sucks that my last class has a quiz… I can’t afford to skip it to get to Gamestop earlier in the day.
damn… those are some horror stories. sorry to hear all the bad news. good thing you can always get your sf4 fix in at a homies house who got it so its not a complete loss.
I know everyone’s in a feverish rage to get all of their primo pre-ordered gear, but I’d appreciate it if anyone could let me know if they come across a store that’s carrying a flat-out standard stick. Whereas at any point during the past 7 years I would have had a stash set aside just for this occasion, my finances were pretty well screwed when the pre-order announcements rolled around, so I’m getting no love this time at all.
Any tips at all would be appreciated, because I’m sure not trying to play online matches (or matches at all) with a godforsaken pad.
I went to the redmond game crazy today around 12.30 and found out they only got a few copies of the CE and yeah, I was not one of them. I guess they had a lot of those ordered and only had about 5 or 6 show up in the morning. So, I did not pick up my fight stick or game, because I have no game! Makes me mad!
I have a copy as of yesterday and have been playing it for several hours LOL

The Game Crazy i went to… Specifically in Bothell/Lake forest park had like 4 or 6 of them stacked up at 3pm today and i dont think they were preorders cuz dude asked me if i wanted to get one. Might wanna call them this morning

Unlocked all the characters last night. What a hassle.
Try the Promenade GameCrazy near Downtown Seattle (on 23rd), they might still have some normal copies of SF4 left. I got mine there last night.
ijust got my SF4 copy now. Fred Meyers everywhere has them (ballard and wallingford ones at least). No TE sticks to be found though

Beat the game with all the unlockable characters besides Akuma Seth and Gouken and then play through arcade mode with anybody while getting at least 1-2 perfects and 2 ultra finishes…
DO NOT GET MORE THAN 2 ULTRA FINISHES!!! I did this the first time through and got Gouken as the secret boss and had to do arcade mode all over again…
I’ve unlocked all but seth, and a shitload of colors. To be honest, I really don’t like how tedious Capcom made it to unlock everything (colors, etc). I would have preferred a money system like the namco fighters, where you could play arcade mode and vs online and be rewarded for how much you play as opposed to how many subsections of console version you dig into.
gamestop in renton off of rainier had SE sticks. i heard that redmond had some TE sticks that werent on hold, but that was 2 days ago. i wouldve posted, but my cat opened a pack of hotsauce all over my modem and i coudlnt get a new one til today ;/
