Kiet- wow old school hookup, coming home at 5 am and shit. was fun and man did i level up today, played like 5 hours strait one on one vs allen, and then like 5 more hours at your place…i feel like im getting pretty good. worked on all my weaknesses, but i still need some more work before springfield.
Sun’s- ggs today, the long set vs multiple chars was helpfull allen(lol, the epitamy of little baby allen when u passed out on kiets bed) and our matches were epic glen…best matches iv ever played, nothing came easy.(just wish that tv wasnt so iffy, was happy to see i was still hittin my combos tho…muscle memory ftw)

look at nemo/nuki videos online, theres another one but i forget right now, sure allen knows
she is kinda like in st, ALOT of situational anti airs…something for every height and angle. you can throw fireball then do lk legs to build meter. her pokes are good. blocked focus is the best in the game. her overhead kick is good, especialy when mixed up with throws. she can combo into ultra anywhere near the edge of the screen. clk, clk ex legs ex legs is a beefy combo. can do alot of link combos as well. ex bird kick is very good. she has alot of stuff, not an easy character to learn but once you start playing around with her after seeing what she can do in the jap videos to get the idea of her playstyle, i think you’ll be coming up with juice in no time. lots of room for innovation and clever tricks, your type of character.

strats for chun-li:
anti airs:
s.mk - very solid against most characters.
s.fp - works against few characters but very effective against boxer. good range close or far. empty jumps make this move whiff sometimes.
c.hk - very good against shotos. you get knockdown, empty jumps make this whiff sometimes.
c.mp - lowers your hitbox. works against most jump-ins, use against characters you KNOW it works against. won’t work on empty jumps because of no trip guard.
c.hp - timing and distance a bit strict but effective against most characters.
jump air throw/HPx2 - if your reaction is quick enough, works almost every time.
pokes:
s.hp - good range and quick
s.mp - easy to SPAM, cancelable into fireball and rarely hazanshu(don’t be predictable with this).
c.hk - can be FADC’ed through, but very good to get knockdown. fairly fast.
s.hk - good if you predict jump. very fast, LONG range…if they walk in on you, good to toss out to keep them honest and keep them away.
chun-li’s level 1 FA on block/hit gives her +1 frame advantage. that means after you dash in from a FA, you can do her B&B starting from c.lk and opponent cannot mash out of it or they will get hit, outside of DP or invincible move. her level 2 gives her something like +7 on block, very fast.
she’s very simple to use at an effective level. her ground game is VERY good. i feel very confident playing as chun-li against players who i feel cannot handle good ground game.
mix-ups:
jump-in HPx2 into hazanshu(overhead) - very good for triple overhead.
jump-in HPx2 into c.lk - for the low mixup
jump-in HPx1 into c.lk - very good for people who are used to jump-in HPx2.
level 1 FA into hazanshu - stuffs throw attempts and can be comboed after. lots of people like to mash option select or throw after blocked/hit level 1 FA.
level 1 FA into c.lk - beats mashers or jumpers.
B&B - c.lk, c.lp, c.lk xx ex legs - you can just do c.lk, c.lk, c.lk xx ex legs if you want. learn piano method.
c.lk, c.lp, s.lp, s.hp - good if you don’t wanna use meter or if you have super. you can link super after s.hp.
good blocked string:
c.lk, c.lp, s.mp xx mp fireball
her dash is amazing, backdash and forward dash are among the BEST in the game. her backdash avoids a LOT of things, very good evasive option.
GENERAL STRATEGY-
follow her fireball. LOL. if they jump AA. if they don’t, you can either respace and repeat, or play her ground/poking game which is top class.
chun-li’s weakness is that she takes damage like a baby and her AA options aren’t too reliable in certain instances but in others they work great. so it’s like a tossup. she also has no good real way of landling her ultra except if she has you in the corner. so her comeback factor isn’t as good as let’s say rufus, ryu, sagat.
if you watch the videos, you’ll see a lot of tricks/mixups and things the top players use but i can help with explaining why they do or don’t do certain things.

Her ultra pretty far outside the corner, due to the forward moving nature of both ex legs, and the the two kicks from the ultra. similar to rufus’s hp tornado, maybe even more range.
i think you could get realy sick with chun brad, watch allen play her against boxer and i KNOW you will love her. its like his worse matchup, at least up there with sagat.
