I’m running bella/val right now, and I was thinking parasoul would be great for this team when I eventually learn her. para (some napalm toss)*/bella (devil horns)/val (st.mk). I’m not sure about the assists right now but this seems like it would be a well rounded team, para taking care of some range/space control issues. I’m not sold on any of the assists but I like the potential coverage that the napalm toss/anti-air devil horns would give me. Also I love the all white para (costume 2), bella (costume 7), val (costume 1) team look. I’d still consider myself a fg novice so I’m open to suggestions.

*EDIT: m napalm toss looks like it would be good for lock-down.

I’ve been doing Filia/Valentine(switching that order tonight), I think I found a new use for Updo last night…I was able to do a normal chain into cr.hp launcher, then press lk+mp to call Updo, hold down buttons, qcb+release, and negative edge pooped out Vial B cancel, catch them with s.lk or cr.lk as the land back into ground chain > cr.hp, and it allowed me to load and land a poison in the same combo. It might be corner only, I didn’t get a chance to try it outside of the corner but I will tonight.

As a backup I wanted to try out Valentine/Cerebella and run Diamond Deflector, because Peacock + assist has been ruining my life this week. Anyone else tried that out yet?

One of the main reasons I’m running Valentine Peacock with item drop assist.

pulls out of corner… makes some pretty silly mixups.

I use Val & Bella. For Bella’s assist, I use Merry-Go-Rilla. If you want to land a needle, use Bella’s assist and load up a needle during the throw animation. When the opponent gets slammed to the ground, throw the needle. If you time it right, it should hit.

What assist would you guys recommend for Valentine on a team of Val/Double?

I’ve been using s.MK for lockdown, but Mortuary Drop looks pretty neat too, even if Double’s reset game is already pretty strong.

H Deadly Cross easy, just call that and cross up with Double or use it for frame traps.

I’m trying to make a team with Valentine. So far I’ve been experimenting with her and Filia and was wondering what assist I should go for. I was using Hairball (HK) but I heard Updo was good as well.

Im using Valentine solo and having some success but for team play I use Parasoul. Her egret charge makes a great assist in the corner which is important to alot of my gameplan with Val. I set Vals command throw for her assist since its always nice to have a good setup.

Updo is good, Valentine doesn’t really have a good AA of her own, and you can do some fun stuff in the corner with it.

Alternatively, cr.mk makes for a decent pressure/mixup tool.
