Over at McNesse State there is no arcade. I’ve been looking at the most random places around campus to find anything. So far I found a comic book store called Paper Hero’s. They have X-Men COTA in a SFA 2 Cabinet and Primal Rage, both Games in good condition and $0.25 a game. I think they stil might have the board for SFA 2. I’ll talk to the manager to see if he would switch the board, if he even has it.
Well even if I don’t find anything good, at least Houston isn’t to far from me 
I’m going to go look around Lake Charles again after class and football traning.

btw while they were moving the machines in they had like free credits on every cab… dude was like hey you play this game points to 3s… i was like… yeah i have once or twice… he said try the left side and tell me how it is… i was like ‘it’s shit’…
The union’s acrade 3S machine is utter garbage. I guess nobody noticed how at the beginning of the match there are no life gauge bars for either characters until someone gets hit. :lame:

Just gonna have to get used to original Jap sticks because it doesn’t look like anywhere else is having a 3S tourney anytime soon. 
Maybe Spaceport could, if they get their sticks and monitor replaced, and install convex buttons on the 1P side (or was it 2P side?).
Jeff, you just don’t know how great the LSU Union was 4 years ago. I’m serious, every single day there would be at least 6 quarters up on Alpha 3 and everyone brought their A game, and the sticks ALWAYS worked. Same with 3S for about a year, same with Marvel for about a year, then the sticks broke and were never permanently fixed. :rolleyes:
It’s a good arcade and they usually update their games every 2-3 semesters (too bad we just got 4 shooters this year), but the fat guys from Genco never fix the sticks correctly. At least Bust-a-Move’s sticks have never broken… but back in the day when they had working Real Bout 2, Alpha 3 and Metal Slug X, times were good.
Btw, we should be getting the CORRECT sticks shipped in for the Marvel cabinet, after which we’ll be able to have a huge tournament. Just have to take pictures of the sticks and send them to UltimateArcade to prove they sent the wrong shipment.
Only place to have a “real” 3S tourney is at Gameware or in N.O. since there’s no unblockables anywhere else…
Oh and you don’t necessarrily need to have anything official for a tourney. I threw a 3S tourney on the side of a Marvel tournament a while back without the game being set on tournament mode or anything and it went ok. Just a random fact.
yes but those that u threw made a wopping 6-8 people turnouts which is a handicap we cand afford to have… imo.
ben is there any chance u will consider a3 for gameware if intrest picks up, maybe having the board, swap it in the sitdown week to week
or 2 weeks…
Not to flame you or anything but it was back when not a whole lot of people were playing like now AND YOU WERE ONE OF THE MAIN PEOPLE ASKING FOR ONE AND DIDN’T SHOW UP. Justin (the white one) ,who was supposedly hardcore into 3S at the time, also didn’t show up. So there’s no telling how many people would have showed up. Sad to say examples like that are pretty typical of Baton Rouge though. We ask for things like tournaments and new arcades but then don’t show up to them.
