damn… thatll be a while but learn ggxx and 3s at the same time… i can teach you a thing or two about bridget and the game in general. for the most part shes an auto pilot character (i.e. her rushdown) but other than that she requires some thinking and her big roll cancel air combos are insanely hard to get the 4x jump. i hope you’re good at tiger kneeing dp motions too.

Anyway, great tourney everyone!! Glad we got a solid 16 entries for 3rd Strike with no problems. Duane took it in the end (although he coulda had some comp from Nik if he wasn’t so afraid of tournaments) – shoto-master Alonzo got 2nd, and Christian’s Hugo got 3rd. LimeGreenNinja’s Twelve is the sickest I’ve ever seen in person, btw.
For those who couldn’t make it, don’t worry… GGXX #Reload and possibly MvC2 tourneys coming soon. We’re gonna have to start sooner than 4:00 from now on though… this one went to 8:00 and the mall closes at 6 on Sundays! =p

Man i suxed it up big at this thing…Guess im not a pressure player, anyway few complaints and thoughts.
1st: Good job Br for showing up…(sarcasim)
2nd: that 3s setup is horrid… buttons way to close and gumball controllers. Blah
3rd: If yall gonna have a mvc2 turny please please losen those controls up, quater circles or almost impossable.
4th: good setup gameware, I like the way the machine was moved to the front. It granted easy acess…on a side note. The truny felt rushed.
Overall it was nice, but the prize’s where kinda ehhhhh… :rolleyes: Anyway for a 1st time turny it was ran well and i enjoyed it. Big up to N.O for coming out. Next time br will be a froce in 3s to be reckon with. If yall ever have a turny 3s or mvc2 let us know.
Gameware Sunday/Saturdays are great days for turnys. Long as they always start around 400ish.

Sorry about the true Japanese arcade setup for 3rd Strike. For the next one we can just do console version on MAS sticks if people want, though.
Thing about the sticks is, when we had the perfect Jap sticks people complained about them being too short – then we got the ONLY sticks that would fit in to the Sega cabinet without having to rip out the entire panel, and those are the sticks we have in there right now. They’re really, really stiff and impossible to make any looser, but they work just fine when you get used to them (as Chris demonstrated all night). Wish there was a way to compromise on those sticks but people still want a tourney on our machine, so it’s cool with me.
If we had more people enter, we could’ve had better prizes. Gotta have a bigger pot for higher cashouts. Now, I’m thinking if we advertise our GGXX #Reload tournament way in advance, we can get Houston involved and maybe have 32 entries at $10 a piece = $300 1st prize. People will come for that. 
a console tourney sounds good to me. i didn’t play in this one cos it was my first time playing on that cabinet. i mean, i knew before coming that the cabinet was a jap one, but i’ve never played on one before. and it’s something that takes getting used to i guess? it also felt weird sitting down and playing from that angle.
The jap sticks do take some getting used to, which is why everyone came out to practice Friday night and why we started the tourney at 4 so everyone had time to practice up. Console tournies are totally fine for us, just a little boring without a full cabinet to play on. You should’ve entered anyway, man. People were asking where you were!
As for the #Reload tourney, it will definitely be held on our arcade machine, moved up to the front of the store like 3S was. How many people would sign up for it if we held it one month from now? $10 entry fee, up to a $300 cash 1st prize?
