Yeah, unfortunately, one cabinet only has two sticks. And I hear in Japan that people have it set up so that there’s one cabinet for each player. Sigh, it’d only make a profit over there, although I haven’t heard anything about Isuka lately, I think it didn’t do too well compared to #Reload.

my presence in “the scene” does not center around the marvel crowed and never has, frankly i dont give a fuck about the game or really watching people play it. now if that makes me invisible to ya thats fine cause it doesnt matter, i rather play ggxx or 3s anyhow with people that do the same.
the community is much more than mvc, and even the “whole” mvc2 is small so running aroud yapping that “mvc2 is all that gets played” is stupid, its just the only game at most arcades.

If Sammy isn’t selling this 4-player cabinet as a standalone game next month, we could probably get one custom-made and put an Atomiswave system in there. Depends how much it would cost – otherwise I’d try to get #Reload in a Megalo 41" cab instead.

yeah 4 on one cab… game looks complicated as hell with the whole line moving system and attacking between lines and line guard cancelling… but looks like a lot of fun… and what is this about capcom vs sammy?!! sol vs gouki… sweet

Also I have to be a little skeptical about ggisuka also. I mean seriously to get the full benefit 4 people have to be playing it and I get a strong feeling that wouldn’t happen too often. Seems #R would be a better pick or wait for sammy vs capcom.
Hahaha, that’s the first I’ve heard of it. It must be because the Japanese prefer the one cabinet-one player format for pretty much all their games I keep hearing about. It’d be nice to see that in an arcade, though.
Two Initial D 2nd Stage machines would cost around $16,000. That’s absurd. The competition aspect comes from the individual cars recorded on the magnetic cards that everyone gets, so everyone can challenge others’ races with each play.
As for Isuka, I think we’ll want to play the shit out of this game when it comes out, but it’ll depend on demand in the long run. Even if Gameware had it on a cab with two sticks, people could still play 1 v 1 (essentially just like GGXX) or 1v2 (human vs. two CPU) or 2v1 (two humans vs. CPU), or even 1v3 CPU if someone wanted! As long as it’s affordable, I think it’s worth it. Otherwise, #Reload on a big screen would be the way to go.
And as for Sammy vs. Capcom, that probably won’t see the light of day until mid-2005, and I bet it’ll suck. GameWare would be more interested in Metal Slug 6, Samurai Shodown VI, KOF 2004 and SVC 2 by then.

id rather reloaded too in the long run ben, izuki doesnt have a dust button and is a tad different from the xx series a bit and i think it would be better to get a solid reloaded over this one.
