I hadn’t played Coliseum with anybody since last tournament, usually that doesn’t matter so much but this time people had been practicing:sweat:
I guess I’m going to have to make people start playing it at my gatherings if I’m to be competitive at the game. Interesting how none of the Big or Kim players placed. I guess Blake wasn’t right about Coliseum.
I had fun, props as always to roski for throwing this. You’re like Nc’s savior, saving us from scrubdumb. Major props to md/va for coming out, it’s always nice to have you guys, espically for cvs2.
This tournament helped me realize something. I thought by going to a decent number of majors I was dedicated enough to start improving a lot more than I have, or that it would give me somewhat of an edge, but I really need to step it up and start practicing. (Since I switch to jap sticks, which I still can’t do anything on.:wasted:)
All the bullshit aside, I’m not going to do it anymore. If I can’t make at least top 5 or beat someone good at the very least in either cvs2 or 3s, I’m quiting them both and just playing Arcana hearts.( I doubt I could quit fighting games all together) Its new, and it seems to be a decent enough game.
I’m posting this so I can’t back out.
and now a rap from soulja geese:
soulja geese tell em
soulja geese up in this ho
I got this new dance, I need you to hold your hands in the air, and keep your face close to the ground.
soulja geese up in this hoe, watch me play in mexico

haters gettin mad cause I JUST GOT MY LAWN MOWED!!! :badboy::badboy::badboy:
I was going to type up a long reply to this, but this is best kept short. Arcana isn’t especially demanding as far as execution goes, you’ll pick up most of your shit outside of a basic B&B combo and stuff from watching matchvids and playing. Bottom line is, while I want the hype for Arcana, you probably don’t need to go to the lengths of dropping CvS2 and 3s just to focus on it, unless you don’t have a lot of free time.
I think it’s a good enough time for some quick shout outs…
Hav: Gotta get at you first for getting me down to this. Way to arpe in CVS2.
BChan: Thanks for giving up your seat.
Eric K: Tough break. Whether it was the stick or just underperformed. I think HRAPs are bad luck any ways. Their PCB’s are funny actin. Some people just like them though I guess.
FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE: FREE! U scared Charlotte away from Marvel and wrecked in CVS2. KLDG!!!
Ghibli Cat: Good seeing you again. I liked how hype you were for the Threes. Need people to get excitement going while everyone else just stares. Oh and tough luck in that casual match vs. Darryl.
Your Master: Good seeing you again. Don’t sweat it in 3S/CVS2. Just keep at it. If you feel Arcana could be your game go for it tho. You could be the next real nice Arcana player if you practice up. NEC!!!
Saisyu: I like how you stepped it up in Threes. You’re such a big supporter for the SNK scene but you definitely got that passion for SF too. Diversification. NEC?
Jibbo/Dood: Good seeing the bros again. This time I made sure I wasn’t dying of SARS before I came out. Finally got a few casual matches vs. you Dood. Still need to get some more in vs. you Jibbs.
Darryl: I liked it. Outside of myself you were crushing people in Threes tourney. Hell I had to use Ibuki in casuals to win a match on you. I’ll see if we can get some casuals in at NEC.
Javier: Good to meet up and play against you. You got skills and definitely will be up in the ranks with practice. Keep working on Duds and Ryu or Ken will make a good secondary for you. s.MK and s.HK are like the only other pokes you need to use with Ryu. Otherwise just play him like Ken without the retarted super.
Cajun Strike: Tough break for another Makoto. Saisyu just wasn’t letting Makoto get any wins this tourney it looked like. He pulled some crazy shit to keep those grabs off of him. I still agree that your fight vs. Saisyu was the most hype. Let’s see you + 1 at NEC.
I just lost everything I just typed oh well, I’ll try to recreate it:
You’re kinda missing my point. I was saying that if I’m going to be stuck in this hole were I’m being passed by everyone then it really defeats the purposes of going to tournaments to “test yourself.” I probably won’t even play arcana hearts I’ll probably just come to less tournament.
In the end though, all that doesn’t matter since I plan to make top 5 at the next tournament. Which is a really long time from now. I realize improvement is based on your dedication and how much you’ll put on the line to get better. If quiting doesn’t motivate me to train harder than their really isn’t any point for me to keep playing those games imo.
Shouts to DJ, I see you…Yeah, I have no idea what that means but I do know that saying that makes me look cool.
Fuck, I thought I kept it kinda short. I mean, it’s not like I wrote an essay. I felt like talking about the moral implications of quitting 3rd and CvS2, and its effects on the modern video game scene. But I kept that shit down. I guess it’s still not good enough for you Jon. EAT A BAG OF DICKS, ASSHOLE. There. I said it.
Boss Battle was fun. Fun watching that shit. Good shit to Shiki for coming in 1st, and for managing to kill one of Lu’s characters. Probably the most hype NGBC moment I’ve seen yet. I have a feeling NEC will be even more hype though
Good shit to everyone I played (fuck you Darrell :arazz: )
Mainly, MEGA props to Darrell and Ed for doing so well in 3rd. 2nd and 3rd place? Nice. I like to see shit like this. Murdurham bitch. :badboy: :wgrin: Good shit to Devil Jin though as well for taking 1st, that is one solid Ibuki after all.
But most importantly, it was good to see everyone again, as always. I think this was the smoothest run tourney @ Lucky’s thus far, Roski keep that shit up.
