Just wondering how the tournaments are gonna be run. Is there gonna be pools or is it gonna be one big ass bracket?
To register for a game do I really have to be there in person on Friday? I’m only going to this event for the tournament, so driving downtown JUST to register for a game would be annoying. Is it possible to just register online and show up Saturday?
To register for a game you must be on location. Next year we will have the logistics for online registration. You could easily show up Friday, park in front of Cobo Hall, walk in, and sign up.

Finding a parking spot obviously wouldn’t be a big issue. The point is I don’t want to drive an hour to get downtown, wait through a line to get a badge, register for a game, then drive an hour back home. Especially for a game like KoF that won’t even get 50 entry’s. Even last year they allowed people to register like 30 minutes beforehand. Whatever though, I’m not trying to start anything, I just think the way registration is being run will keep some locals from showing up.

so what is the deadline for registration for saturday games? I’m guessing an hour, maybe two before they start?
I’m wondering cause I’m entering AE/Brawl but I don’t get there until Saturday morning

On either games, I think you will be ok. We would close the brakets at least either 2 hours before they start, because we do not want to start any of the tournaments late. However, I will get confirmation on this.

Registration for all games is Friday from 4PM - 10 PM. Registration for games beginning Friday at 7 PM closes Friday at 6 PM.
Emergency registration for Saturday games from 8 AM - 9 AM. Emergency registrants will fill byes in the brackets.

I’d definitely get someone to register for you then to make sure you are in. Make sure he’s got your name / state / and entry fee.
