If you try to overhead dive kick a Guile as he’s doing wakeup ultra, you’ll get hit by the first hit but sent backwards and will NOT be able to punish the ultra.
Or like any other charge character you can cross them up before they wake up so they lose their charge, then give them a meaty cross up dive kick where all the guile can do is maybe EX Flashkick and get an autocorrect, otherwise they’ll eat a combo.
1st post updated a bit, added a bit more info and matchup notes for Honda and Bison (Dictator), also a little section “Wha can he/she do after blocked EX messiah?” for you to know what to abuse and what not, Ill be adding more info later. what options do you have in the corner against El Fuerte who does reverse habanero dash -> hp (grab) constantly?
Pretty sure you can at least get out with wakeup EX Snakestrike? Sure, it can be punished, but at least you’re out of the corner.
doesn’t seem like a good option. he can punish you with ultra and you’d be back in the corner again.

Cammy Match Up
This match is definitely in your favor. The way her tools work are very similar to your own except you do more damage and have more health. You can?t be too reckless on her though purely cause of her DP. I try to play this match by just advancing forward to a point where you can dive kick without making large jumps that can be easily DP?d on reaction. She will want to jump as much as you do for her dive kick so return the favor and just anti air with s. hp or c. mp. Trading with a s. hp is still a loss for her so just keep at it. Once you have your rush down going you need to judge your opponent and try to bait a DP if you feel they?re getting a bit mashy with it after your dive kicks. On blocked DP there are a couple ways to punish. If you?re unsure you could always c. hp, but if you blocked it deep you can dash twice and hp xx hp tornado, target combo to ultra, etc. To continue your offense on a knock down you might realize that her DP is a bit more difficult to cross up than others. Start your jump for meaty cross up dive kick from a little farther back and you can pretty much guarantee a stuffed DP if they attempt it. The biggest problem for Cammy is her very limited ability to cross up with her dive kick. In fact, the only times it ever crosses me up is in the corner (from my experiences anyways). With this said you can easily deal with her by holding down back and jumping back out of dive kick attempts to escape. The last bit of advice I can offer is to be careful with your EX Messiah?s when she has ultra. Cammy?s ultra can be reversal?d before you can even use the hk follow up to try and go over it.
Cammy Tricks to Look Out For
The most annoying Cammy trick imo is the guaranteed Hooligan Combination grab. If you get knocked down and tech recover, a meaty Hooligan will grab you guaranteed.
She can bait throw attempts just like you can. Same mind games apply as many of your own.
There are certainly ranges for safe Canon Drill (Spiral Arrow) that can set you up to bait invalid punish attempts. They especially love DP attempts if they have 2 bars.
Many Cammy?s can?t do this or straight up don?t know but they can easily hit confirm a counter hit standing fierce to ultra. A lot of them like to fish for these opportunities by baiting your option select throw tech attempts.
This should be enough information for now. I?ll try to write a Seth match up guide soon also.
One thing to remember about the hooligan combination throw is that it cannot hit you when you are crouched. Anytime you see a cammy throw out a hooligan combo just stay crouched. If you know it is coming the EX Hooligan can be EX SS on reaction. Usually I will just anti air it with c.mp. If you try to jump back roundhouse or fierce you will get thrown. If you stay crouched and don’t do anything, similar to Akuma’s EX demon kick facepalm, cammy will end up behind you. I use to hate Cammy’s but it’s now become a pretty easy matchup.
Some more juice against Cammy:
Focus hurts her pretty badly since her only AB is that spinning backfist
Blocked Cannon Spikes can be hard to punish since she lands so far away. c.hp is ok. Walk forward slightly and sweep is better since you get the knock down. The most damage I can get punishing it without ultra is 200 with a walk forward far s.hk into nj.hk. With ultra, you can get walk forward far s.hk, forward j.hk, into ultra or 2 far s.hks into ultra. Punishing with just an ex GT also works if you’re having trouble with any of those.
One thing I learned regardless of matchups is don’t try to option tech her throws if you think she is going to start instant dive kicking/canon striking. If she catches you whiffing a c.LK as you are option teching she can mash ultra and you die. LOL. I guess Rufus can do the same thing but Cammy especially seems really good at just being able to throw a raw ultra out on option selects.

You can actually punish a point blank blocked cannon spike with a walk forward far hk into EX Snake Strike, for 330 damage.
The timing is kind of hard, but you want to do it as quickly after the far hk as possible, generally. You can also walk forward into cr. hk after far hk, which knocks down, does 200 damage also, but is meterless.
That’s good stuff. I’ll have to mess with it. There’s a pretty good cammy player in my area so I’ve been in the lab with her though I’ve never been able to get any kind of far HK punish in a match. Timing just seems really tight and you almost have to anticipate the cannon spike, even on block, just to punish it. (or my reactions are just ass lol)

To play vs Cammy with any character (not specifically Rufus) is an easy task.
She hurts always from focus attacks and with crouch position you can be safe from every attack.
Her Hooligan combination throw grabs only if you standing.
When you are crouch you can block everything including spiral arrow, hooligan combination (all attacks) etc.
Don’t forget that Rufus has one of the best armor break in the game.Galactic Tornado.
If Cammy has spiral arrow as armor break will probably be the best.But she hasn’t.

Generally if you learn to use wise Messiah kick and use effectively Rufus combos with Dive kick you have not to fear anything especially against Cammy.
Could someone give me some tips on how to deal with a Turle Bison? He basically Zones me with The HK and no matter what I do to get there it seems to beat it out, on air and ground.
There’s a lot of things you can try. Max range c. hk is a pretty good solution, or you can react with a df. mk roll… if he’s spamming s. hk it may even counter hit, which will allow you to do a counterhit combo out of the roll (c. mk xx EX GT at far range, cl. hp xx HP GT at close range, or st. lk, st. hp xx HP GT for an easier hitconfirm but less damage).
From the furthest distance, you can counterpoke the tip of his boot with a far hp (kind of like counterpoking a lariat with the same move), from a little closer you can counterpoke with far mp, though using this poke isn’t really in your favor damage-wise, it’s easier than far hp. Even closer, you can crouch mp the far hk, in the same way you can hit Dhalsim’s stretch forward or stretch roundhouse. If Bison doesn’t have ultra, you can do a 2-in-1 poke, so that if the cr. mk hits, you cancel it into a roundhouse messiah kick, just for the chance to land a knockdown and getting closer. If he has ultra, don’t do this, free ultra, obviously.
Fragrance Palm can hit him out of his far hk at 3/4ths screen distance, and at half screen, if he has his back to the corner, Fragrance Palm can turn into a free ultra. You can even ultra if it trades, but it requires being a little bit closer than half screen since the far hk pushes Rufus back so far.
The most important thing is that Bison has to be standing for his st. hk, obviously, so if he is in this “mode”, so to speak, make him afraid to be standing, cr. hk and df+mk are your best bets.
so i fought a pretty good rufus the other day. won. obviously. i just dont understand how people expect to beat the boss when they dont use projectiles.
