It’s not done yet
ok, Ive been in this mugen thing for a good 2 years now, and out of all the matches and characters I have seen, that was one good ass fight!!! yo that shit was hot…
Ah, ok.
mvc3 wont be done for a LONG time… they are only doing marvel chars atm.
Damn that Thor super was the hotness esp. that logo at the too!!:wow:
Graphics question…smoothing the sprites’ edges…
I remember a wayyyys while back that a fan-made mugen game that composed of SamSho and LB characters was floating around on a site…
thing is, they did a really neat thing - they added what looked like scanlines or something to “smooth” out the clunky sprites of most characters…
I forgot the site, and I really forgot the chunk of code that they added, since I’m re-learning MUGEN after quitting 2 years back…
Does anyone know where I can fight that piece of code, or the website?
Thanks.
sounds interesting.
i’d like to check that out too
Can anyone reccomend any good full games to download on torrent? I’ve been away for a long time and I forgot what thread someone reccomended a nice full game to download.
Been out of the mugen scene for a long time, been a loyal follower until elecbyte took all the donations for a win-mugen (one that wasn’t just in beta with 2 character slots) and split.
The samsho mugen run on win XP?
I have problens with DOS mugen on XP :C
I had never seen them before but now I have to agree with him completely. There is just so much detail in both of those characters. Thanx.
-See Ya!!!
Excellent video. I’d seen Thor before, but he didn’t really do much in that other video (really long where there was that broken Shao Kahn on the “Evil Side”) with the “chain” battle. Nice.
The Dragon Claw character is also impressive, especially considering it seems to actually utilize slow-motion in a tasteful way.
Hey, PsychoSquall. May I ask you something? Do you know the names of the four songs in the four Battle videos? The only that I know is “One Winged Angel” song in the fourth video, but I don’t know the short song after “One Winged Angel”. Also, I know that the songs in the first and third video are from Street Fighter, but I haven’t ever heard those remixes before.
Thanks.
(P.S. I’m rather liking the Ella character. She looks based off Sadako/Samara, but seems like she’s also a representative of horror movies considering that Psycho-based super she pulls on Sagat in the third video.)
Actually, I think the site was in French, and ALSO had LB characters in it…
1st vid: Ryu remix song (I think I heard it from www.OCREMIX.org) I’m sure somebody else here can better identify it’s title and composer. I have the mp3, but it’s not readily available to me at the moment.
2nd vid: from FF7: Advent Children (track #12 Battle in the Forgotten City)
3rd vid: another Ryu remix song. I’ve never heard of it before. It sounds like something you could find at OCREMIX again.
4th vid: you’re right, it’s obviously One Winged Angel. I believe this particular version is from a fanmade/amatuer project: Project Majestic Mix, and the album name: A Tribute To Nobuo Uematsu. (they actually bought the rights to release their own arrangements of various Square music)
… or I could be way off base, and that arrangement is actually the one straight from the game.
There are two versions of this album: Gold and Silver. Gold is the one to get, as it contains more songs. It was an exclusive version given to those that had donated a certain amount of money to their project. Best bet to get the music is off of a file sharing program like Soulseek. I have it as well. There are some really amazing arrangements that definately stand out IMO.
The second song in that vid is also from FF7: Advent Children (track #7 Tatakaumonotachi -Piano Version) You all should seriously just find a bittorrent and download the entire Advent Children soundtrack, as it is rediculously good.
Ella the Sadako-inspired character is really awesome. http://www.thephotonfalls.com/ThePhotonFalls/Mugen/ELLA/Ella_page.htm <–check it out!
Hey, thanks.
I think already found both of these songs, though I found the first only because you told me it was on OC (and I got lucky on the first try).
For anyone else interested, the song in the first video is called “RyuInterpretation” by Malcos.
The third song may be another remix I haven’t yet found, but so it sounds most akin to (as I already said in the “What’s the name of that song?” thread) the instrumental version of “Become the Storm” (Ryu’s stage’s song’s name…that’s a lot of possessives).
I’ll try and confirm whether or not those are the right Advent Children songs. Thanks again (especially for the Ella thing, even though I don’t/can’t play Mugen).
Hiryu vs Hien

Hayato vs Dragon claw

damn, I never knew Insane Hiryu was that insane
Terrible…but enlightening.
That Insane Hiryu is broken AND the intro took even longer than Broli. (A friendly note, if you did the text, don’t use Comic Sans or at least don’t use reddish colored Comic Sans. Times New Roman and formal-looking fonts like [whose names escape me at the moment] are underrated when it comes to more creative things.)
As for the second video, I now know that I was right about Dragon Claw being somewhat broken. His damage needs to be scaled WAY down, especially for the amount of hits s/he/it is doing regularly, at least in terms of supers. Still, nice to see a original character (be broken) than those “Evil” Characters, especially that broken as fuck “Evil Kula”/Isabeau. (Ye gods, I’m surprised my computer didn’t freeze [pun not intended] when I watched that wench in the video below “your” video in the first link.)
Regardless my opinion on quality, thanks. It just gives me more ideas, especially now that I think I have a computer that can handle MUGEN.
Late EDIT: Geez. It’s kind of ironic that for something with such shitty yet feasible grammar, this is one of the first posts where I only had to correct one typo.
