Yeah dude, something about online dudes gives you a weird freakishly high chance of flaking. But DJ’s right I’d rather 'em flake before I met 'em than some ways down the road, you know? My only experience, unfortunately, is meeting guys online (I mean how else was I supposed to, you know? I can’t go to gay bars or anything). Let’s see experience #1 was ridiculous, might as well have been a flake, same with #2 #3 and #4… I’m pretty sure #5 was when I got lucky and found the guy I’m with now. I’m pretty sure the craigslist ratio of sane to not is definitely a lot higher than 1 in 5, I just got lucky. 
The other four weren’t actually even that awkward for meeting someone online, but I could tell they were just into it to get off and go. Except the um… fourth? guy. He was hella into me and whatever made me happy but he was just really creepy and well… ugly, to be honest. :lol: I was like “yeah” when he was like “think we can see each other again” and then I signed onto yahoo just to block him so I’d never have to talk to him again.
It’s really hard to find a sane, not-flaming guy when you’re under 21. I’m not sure it’s any easier after 21, but at least then it’s easy to start sifting through the losers. Before you can go to bars, it’s like you’re totally hopeless. Especially when you’re into older guys, you have no choice but the internet. Which, you know, can be shady and weird. I feel your pain, Dream. Keep at it. You’ll find someone. At least NY is somewhere easy and populated. You could live in Montana. :razz:
Lol…clubs seem worse than online now…atleast online you can talk to the guy before you meet him or go out with him…I mean all this relationship wise of course. One night stand is fine for bars as well online, but there’s still hella freaks at bars/clubs…ugh.

True. I didn’t even really bring that into consideration. :lol: The best way I guess is to just go into it expecting nothing but a one night stand with some weirdo and then if they’re sane and nice it’s like a friendly bonus rather than a freakish disappointment. :tup:
It just seems so much easier at a club to pick out someone you’re actually attracted to. Guess they both have their benefits. Maybe it has something to do with how attractive I am (humility aside), but like I just hung out outside a gay bar and got look after look after look. I guess it was so obvious to me because I still haven’t been in a gay club but damn I’ve never been checked out by so many guys at once. I didn’t even really know what to do.
LOL…if you’re young, at almost any gay bar, you will be looked at…especially if you’re new meat lol. You’ll get used to it…free drinks are fun too!

Oh man! Just the other day I was thinking about how chicks have it easy with their free drinks and shit and for like half a second I was like “Man, I wish I cou–” then I got that far into the thought and realized I probably WILL get free drinks when I can go to gay bars. I went from envious to stoked.
