Tidal Wave is a party where they (the bears, of course) take over the entire waterpark from the afternoon on. Pretty much a free for all lol.
Seriously though, good times. 
Actually, when is it? It would be kinda nice to have another excuse to hit up Orlando, perhaps even chill with the great Bear. Definitely way too out of practice to compete though. I’ll get bodied for sure. =/

I live in Jacksonville. So about 2 hours north of Orlando.

So alot of the queer venues have been closing in SF/Castro. Not that i went to them often, but it makes me sad.
Like what? I know the bookstore is closed, which is really sad cause that was one of the few LGBT bookstores in the area. Every time a bar or a cafe closes though, something new takes its place a week later. Sometimes things just get renamed. Stuff constantly shuffles in and out.
The famous bear/leather bar The Eagle Tavern closed shop late last month. :’(

How “big” are gay owned establishments around that area anyways? Like 3-5 shops around a block? Kinda wish there were more around my area. It would give me incentive to get out of the house.

Ah, that sucks. I know there’s a number of places called The Eagle around the US, but I think that might be the original. Do you know why they closed? Did the rent get spiked?
Not so much gay “owned”, more like gay “centric.” All of the shops are gay-themed in the area. Every block. Yes, even Pottery Barn. The biggest loss would have to be “Another Light Bookstore”, a gay adult bookstore. It was very small, but otherwise beloved.
It’s not the original, though it did loose it’s eagle (literally) and it’s association revoked about 15 years ago, so it’s been unlinked for awhile. I believe the original is in Chicago.
It closed because son of the owners of the rented space where the bar was at decided that he would be making more money to lease it to a different kind of business. The bar rented and never owned the space. They had many years to actually own the space, so in reality it was The Eagle’s fault.
In other news, being on summer vacation is a drag. This is the first summer in years since i’ve been off of work and school.
Hey guys, what’s new? I haven’t been in this thread for a while. Just saw “I love you Phillip Morris” and loved it. It would be nice to see a movie that was centered around Gay people that did not mention AIDS, though. The fact that they showed a power bottom at the beginning was funny as hell. I love Jim Carey. I am kind of floating at the end of a relationship with this girl that I have been with for eight months. I finally told her that I was trans and she is wondering if their is any point to going on. She knew that I was Bi and just attributed all of my feminine tendencies to that. I put being trans on the back burner just to enjoying being close to someone for a while. We started off as just being cool and hanging out but somewhere down the line, she got attached to me and now does not believe that she can casually maintain relationships that go nowhere. Just a bit of an update. I think that when this relationship comes to an end, I may start thinking about presenting as female a bit more, despite my insecurities.
I am also down with hitting up bear events in Florida. I just need notice to rent a car or book a flight.
I’ve never thought of it that way lol but yes I’m down for this if I’m able to go. Some beers at some point too.

Just came back from watching Thor. Volstagg could have been fatter but sexyness was all around, regardless. Chris Hemsworth is ALL kinds of fine in it, and I generally don’t like guys who aren’t chubby some way. We were heckling Natalie Portman to chase that blonde haired beefcake. 
Also lights up the chub signal Azagtoth, Joel McCrary is in it for a few minutes but DAMN he looks hot bald and wearing that trucker outfit. His 3D chubbyness gave ME a 3D chubby. :smokin:
