Yeah, it’s cool to see all the progress happening. For a long time, it was nice just to have folks not be against it. That was about as much as you could hope for. But now more and more people are speaking up and and being supportive publicly. That’s a pretty big step.

New site is cool with me. I never really care, though. I get used to it in a couple days regardless.

I was in DC last week for a bit, and went to a bar where you drink free if you aren’t wearing a shirt. Pretty good deal. While I was there an older guy hit on me for a while before talking about how he really wanted to sleep with Dan Quail in the late 80s. DC can be an odd city.

Damn I wish the bar I usually go to did that. Then again that place is packed like sardines every Friday. Some of these dudes need to take showers and use deodorant before hooking up there. lol

And while they’re at it they need to stop playing Lady Gaga/Rihanna/etc remixes there. Is it an insult to tell a DJ to play something that isn’t “too gay”? It just tickles me to see some gruff muscle bear with torn jeans singing along to Only Girl (In the World). lol

Don’t know about CEO myself, though. Maybe Azagtoth? lights up the Chub Signal

Yeah, when it gets crowded like that it’s tough to do much. And I am with you on the music. It’s what always runs me out. My tolerance for generic dance remixes is pretty low, and they play it crazy loud in most places. I understand if it’s a club – that’s what i would expect going in (and why I never go … hahaha). But I like a bar to have some space, to be able to hear what people are saying, and to just play something like Tom Waits at moderate volume. Don’t find many of those, though.

I’ll likely be going to CEO. It’s 2 and a half hours away, so it’d be a bit silly not to take advantage of that.

Yeah the music is pretty awkward most nights. You would get the point when people are just standing around except for a couple who find the tune catchy. I know a lot of people go there to hook up and look at eye candy but a lot of people look bored generally. It was funny going in there during a bear event weekend and hearing a mix of pop remixes and country because of the group’s theme. So many mixed looks. lol

It’s funny you mention Tidal Wave since I was invited by a friend from Tampa to go. Too bad me and Chris are too broke to go though.
