Sweet. So I get to be a guest barback at this caf owned by this gay bear couple. :lol: :party: Saturday/ Sunday and if I do well I’ll get an interview and hopefully a job! It’s right downtown in Edmonds by where my boyfriend lives, and I really want to move to Edmonds or at least further south… Finally found something that might work! I’m excited.
Any tips Joe? :razz: What would your perfect barback do? Any tips or things to consider that I might not have thought of/anything to help me make the best first impression I can? (I’ve never seen the word used before just a few days ago really and it’s just so close to bareback… I can’t not mention it. Gay couple for bosses… want me to be the barback. C’mon. Well, every bar has it’s priorities. Find out what yours is ASAP. For instance at my bar getting glasses washed is the most important thing.
All I would advise is just to be expected to work hard and get dirty. During work look presentable, but with clothes you wouldn’t mind getting messed up (I tend to wear just plain black shirts and jeans). I would imagine though since you’re at a cafe it won’t be as hectic, crazy, or messy as it is at a club. I’m sure you’ll do fine. Just don’t care about taking out trash and doing dishes and all and you should be fine.
So this guy wants to go out with me on monday and so far he’s showing positive signs of being a faker. We’ve been having relaxed AIM conversations and so far that’s been it. I gave him my cell phone number so we could chat but he has ignored that fact or is hiding something. He claims to be living in Miami Beach and all that crap. He also claims to be a hotel manager and yet, when I asked if he’d be able to meet up closer to my area (what with my car not being street legal yet) he told me his car was being repaired…2 months ago.
And now I got a message from him asking if I’d be able to meet him in Dadeland Mall (which is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY farther from Miami Beach from here)
I sort of want to meet him just to experience the LULZ (A curruption of LOL) factor.:lol:

The job is really cool, I thoroughly enjoy it. Having a gay couple for bosses is basically the coolest thing that could happen… They’re super cool guys. One of 'em looks really similar to Isaac Brock (vocalist) from Modest Mouse… I was so happy when I finally realized who I thought he resembled. I think that I think he’s cute though and I feel like that’s awkward. Hahaha. :lol: Couldn’t be happier with who I’ve got, though, so it doesn’t matter. He’s fun to be around either way.
Finally a job with cool people to work with. That’s never happened to me before. :looney: Having a reason to be by my boyfriend’s house all the time is fucking g-stat, too… commute or not. Still need to work on finding a closer place…
