Not another Gay thread... version 2.0.5

Holla! http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/6841/roguedjyr6.gif

I figured it might just look tacky/cover it up if I put text/your name on it, but if you want text it’s really no effort.

Slickness. You’re the man, man.

My av is hotter than Joe’s.

Just so you know.

No no no no no. :shake: adblock My mind… :wasted:

drumlinerjoe’s new av is hot! though I don’t think it’d make a good tattoo

^ I agree. Even though Rouge is cool (not as cool as Emma Frost or Sage), I don’t think that Joe’s av would make a good tattoo.

sage? Really?

emma i could see cause i love her attitude. Love her attitude. in house of m everyone was all like we need to save scarlet witch…

emma: let’s just put her down.

awesome. had they listened to her the mutant population would’ve been safe.
I’m a nerd… sorry.

Loving the new av joe. Rogue except for movie version is always top teir imo.

edit: that av as a tat? Hmm… it’s a little 2 dark and undefined to be a tat. but if you really wanted to have it done you’d have to do the entire rectangle to make it look right. maybe back? but that’s gonna be expensive at least 300 for a 2" by 4" if you go to small you may loose the image.

Emma is the Madonna of mutants. Notsomuch in terms of reinvention, but her faux British accent. It works for Emma as she has some British in her whereas Madonna is Italian. Plus Emma is a master of words. I remember in New X-Men when Sofie was dating that kid from Japan who later turned into Stuff and the Shi’ar Empire beat everyone up, Emma said to Sofie, ‘Try not to let this experience put you off boys.’

I need to go to Borders and read The House of M. All I know of it is Scarlet Witch went crazy and 98% of Earth’s mutants were depowered.

And Sage has some of the best mutant abilites. From wiki:

House of M is great just for Emmas reaction to finding out that the world she is in is an illusion.
it’s priceless.

Sage has cool power … and the fact that she IS the first Xman is bad ass. But coolness factor. she doesn’t have it for me.

I’ve geeked out way to much… i’ve gone and made myself sad.

It’s kind of creepy.

And I’m indecisive about what to get a tattoo of.

I don’t know, the way she looks is the way I feel at work, a lot. I try to be a good faker but sometimes it just shows up with I’m dealing with my crackhead (literally) boss or any other number of obnoxious, hustling, cheapass, no tipping, complaining drag queens, lesbians, fag hag rejects, lesbians or whatever.

But anyway pride is coming up soon. Our events are usually somewhat small, but reading around about other events I notice that there are always divas headlining, but you rarely ever hear about GLBT bands or artists. Is it like that where ya’ll are?

Well…get a tattoo that you know you won’t regret 10 years from now.

Least that’s what they say on Miami Ink.

:wonder:

True true, and Rogue’s been my hero since I was like 12, which is over half my age, so I think in about 10 more years she still will be.

And I wonder what they’re gonna do with her after reading X-men #199. At least she’s still rocking thing hood and cape.

sorry to change the subject, but this really rubbed me the wrong way.

60 minutes has a feature about sexual oreintation, and studies they use to try to illustrate the question, just reinforce the stereotypes.

take a look: http://60minutes.yahoo.com/segment/68/gay_or_straight

degree of masculinity and femininity are subjective, as well as the definition of these. The little boy who enjoys white ponies and nailpolish in the segment is completely brainwashed by the society in which he lives and the standards set by it. “I was suppose to be a girl” is completely nonsense, he just happens to enjoy those things and the problem is disassociating sexuality with it. i’m not saying he isn’t going to be one way or the other, but i just don’t like how they presented it. The news reporter also sounds like a cocky bitch and talking down to the kids, the scientist that were interviewed, and the others.

Just kind of need opinion on the tattoo subject. Were I to get the Imperial logo from Star Wars, where would be best? I’m thinking back of my shoulder, simply because it would hide it from my folks who promised to disown me

that would work as long as you dont’ go swiming or something with your shirt off cause then they’d totally freak.

how big are you thinking about doing it.

Not too big. ~8-10cm diameter (w00t math). And I don’t plan on swimming anytime in the next few years

back of the shoulder should be good then.

even if you go somewhere shirtless you can always throw a towel over it that should cover a tattoo of that size.

So first of all what do you mean she was talking down to them. they are children. Seems reasonable she’d talk to them like they are… well … children.

Second, I’m glad they picked a person like her to do this report. It seems pretty clear she’s got some uncomfortable chip on her shoulder (though she seems like she’s trying to refrain from going eww) about gay. But it’s her that has to present these findings to the 60 minutes veiwers… who are most likely not card carrying members of GLAAD or PFLAG.

Think for a second about how ineffective this report would have been to most of the redstates if we had a person who seemed sympathetic to gays presenting these facts. Resisting people would just say “aah… that fag is just making this shit up.” or something to the like.

All this report really shows is that they don’t have any clue on what makes gay people gay. I know Tripplets. No lie. 2 of them are gay… the 3rd is straight married with kids.
I don’t know there exposure to what growing up so i cant speak to that.

I will say this. That to me … Gays are Mutants. which i think is awesome but it comes with the ostracizm of the general public because we arent “normal” We could talk forever about how really nobody is “normal” but let’s leave that for now. I for one hope they never find the gay gene… cause i truly belive that the government… well… society in general will make it okay to abort your gay baby and keep your straight ones. The same as if they identified the X factor in mutants hypothetically speaking of course.

I spoke to this american indian researcher that was visiting nyc once and even native american tribes had theories on homosexuals. he was saying that he belives that gay men and women were belived to be highly intuned with spiritual energies because they were belived to be “double souled” male and female. He says that history doesn’t admitt it often but most shaman and healers in the tribes were gay.

no body knows. I will speak to the spiritual energies thing though it’s weird but i think that’s true.

I think that there is something genetic in us that is present at birth for some, but turns on later in life for others.

Clearly what i’m trying to say is all of you guys move into my mansion and we’ll fly around the world fighting anti gay hysteria with our mutant gay powers. I’m sending the jet.

And DLJ . Xmen 199 is awesome Rogue got the ultimate upgrade. But if all the people she absorbed were shiar from a war fought a thousand years ago. Then rogue should now be as strong as a shiar alien. Awesome!

I’ve said it before (in this thread even) and I’ll say it again. It strikes me as completely ludicrous that people insist that homosexuality is absolutely one thing either a gene, or being raised a certain way or a choice. It can’t possibly be only one of those, it’s got to be some combination of all of them.

:wow: You do not know how much it pleases me to hear… er uhm see, you say that. People have this fetish with being the same and attach words with negative connotations to people who are not the same like “weird” “mutant” “abnormal” etc. I don’t see the problem with any of that because all it means is “different.” The hypocrisy of it all is that people pretend to strive to be different and stand out but when someone actually does, it’s like that difference has gone too far.

As for finding an actual gay gene, I agree some idiot would try to push that aborting gay babies thing. But even I (who has absolutely no confidence in the humanity of humanity) fully believe that, that could never come to fruition, simply because we don’t abort our physically or mentally disabled babies nor do we abort Siamese twins or any other birth defects. The problem of course could be that someone would try to “fix” the babies like being born gay would be a defect or something. Which would be a travesty, since homosexuality doesn’t negatively affect anyone.
