The fact that hardworking people are struggling just to have a semblance of the amenities he has is downright infuriating.
I was shocked when I saw what his prison quarters looked like. It looks like a really nice house, except with bars in the windows. Norwegian prisons are as nice to the inmates as the average hotel. The only reason it’s a deterrent is because it’s still a step down from what normal Norwegian life is like.
This is the stupidest shit I’ve ever read. Norway has one of the lowest rates of re-incarceration in the entire world, meaning that unlike other places in the world, their prison system works because people who go there, don’t end up going back there. Compare that to the U.S., which has an enormous population in prison that will most likely end up back in prison.
Also: you guys are falling for the troll. This man in prison is a 100% real life troll and is only doing this because he knows it will get a reaction out of people. The dude is going to be stuck in prison for the rest of his life and needs some way to hurt people from inside prison, if you just laugh off his nonsense you’ll be a lot happier.
Honestly, the way Norway handled this whole incident is amazing. They did it with dignity and focus on human freedom, rather than demanding justice and changing their way of life because of a terrorist act.
