Northwest trading: WTB sticks, WTS sticks

EDIT: Kirkland is waaay too far away. I’m in Vancouver, WA…

Appreciate the heads up though, I just don’t feel like spending $100 in gas to buy an arcade stick.

You try Newegg? That’s where I bought my PS3 TEs

Seimitsu and Sanwa are just different. But they’re not very different. I think you’d do fine with either one.

the bigger difference between a TE and the Hori EX-SE is the button layout. You can (and will, eventually) swap out the parts for whatever - You’re not locked into seimitsu or anything. But the button layout is a hwole lot harder to change.

Shoot a message over to G-effect. He works at Frys so he might be able to tell you if they’re getting more in and what not.

Just out of curiosity, why would people swap out parts of a TE stick? I was under the impression that Sanwa parts are the best available…unless there’s different (better) Sanwa parts out there to swap with?

Pardon my noobish question.

Because they want to change up the button colors/add custom art/etc. And buttons don’t last forever.

Ultimately it comes down to preference. Pasqual has a JLF stick but uses Semitsu buttons.

Mine are still stock TE parts since I haven’t had the money to really do any modding outside of PCB work.

Speaking of which, if anyone is needing dual mod work, lemme know. Yay for being able to actually publicly post it now!

Yes, like others said. Colors, wanting to try something different, or just replacing worn out parts.

TEs are Sanwa parts. SE are not name-brand.

Those are the SE’s Mechanica. The TE buttons say Sanwa on them.

Now if MC is lying to us, hello lawsuit

wut r u guys talkin about

I have a strange request, would someone be willing to temporarily make a TE swap with me? I have a 360 one right now but wont have another 360 for a few weeks, and would like to practice on a TE for both SFIV and Tekken.

That or a really cheap dual mod would work, I would try it myself but I dont have the tools or workspace anymore -_-

Anyone have a Seimitsu spring and/or a JLF Shaft Cover?

I’m in Lacey and NEVER come up to Seattle, so I can do the shipping paypal/money order/check thing. Unless someone delivers.

I bet Mattell makes the SE buttons. They are worthless, I had one break within two weeks, and they were unresponsive as hell.

I have an extra PS3 TE lying around and my 360 TE is out of commission atm, this sounds like a perfect match. Are you going to TW this week?

Yes I am

So my TE stick is getting a little wobbly. I’m totally new to sticks, so I was wondering if someone could point me to a guide regarding replacing just the stick (not the buttons or case). Or maybe I just need to tighten that shit down?

I’d say check it to see what may be wrong, but the stick is really pretty easy to replace (just 4 screws and a cable you have to unplug and then plug back in).

Describe “wobbly” a bit more and I may have an answer for you. Most pieces in a JLF are swappable so replacing the whole stick would probably be overkill.

Well, I think it’s that normal “wobble” after you use a stick for a while, and it loosens up. What’s like the average time that you guys have to replace your sticks in? (not the whole thing, just the stick part).

I made the switch in June. I guess it’s all good until I feel it affects my gameplay with moves coming out that I didn’t do, right?

But really I also want to replace that white (more like greyish now heh) stick on the TE with something a bit sexier like red.
