Will there be any converters for 360 like ps2 to 360. Cause I only have a ps3 and I wanted to join Blazblue and KOF XII and I don’t want to fork over like 80 bucks for a stick that I’m gonna use for one day.
Brent, I am definitely cool with bringing my 360 for SFIV, but I doubt I’m going to be buying KOFXII or BlazBlue, so if you need an extra xbox with all the characters unlocked (I know I need it ) just let me know.
Brent, do you need more people to bring 360’s? If so I can contribute mine to the cause.
Sounds like everything is going to be on 360. I will have to try and get my PS3 TE dual modded to work with the 360
I can bring a 360. Can’t say I’ll be able to bring the games, however… As of now I only own SF4 (all characters unlocked) and HDR.
Did somebody need a Seth?

As far as games & 360s are concerned - do we have a current count of donors for everything? If we are short games or machines (or TVs, etc), the earlier we find out, the better, right?
Buying a game so I can bring it might not be so bad, especially if the game seems fun. How does it all look?
Two months!
Hey guys really thinking about making the drive up for this, just one question though. Are there and hotels/motels close by that arent to expensive? I really dont feel like waking up at 4 am to make it there by registration.
Yes, there are. As long as you have a car, there are hotels that are very close by and aren’t expensive. Sorry I can’t be more helpful at the moment, but I’ll get a list of some up in a bit.
I have a car so anything within a short drive would be nice
I’m really interested in coming! Not sure if I can yet, trying hard to juggle life around to make this work. It would be soooo cool to get to meet some of you guys.
Just wanted to double-check: when does pre-reg close?
Pre-reg won’t be closing until a few days before the event, if not the day before.
i was planing on mobbing over there with 5ish people for BB. if its on the 360 that might be a deal breaker!!! i might have to sell my body for a 360 stick:sweat:
We will see what’s up with the console set-up shortly.
Can anyone make a NWM Kyo Kusanagi av please.
I can bring a PS3, but I don’t have SF4 or sticks.
I’ll bring the SF4 for your PS3
I’m going to pre-register once I see if I can carpool with anyone from PDX or catch the bus. I can show up whenever as long as it’s before my game starts if I do the online registration, right? Or do I still have to be there in the morning either way?
But yeah, I could use a ride to this if anyone’s rolling through Portland. I only moved up here recently from Florida (couldn’t bring my car, the pos wouldn’t have made the drive) so I’m still pretty unknown, but I’d really like to go and would pitch in gas money or food or entry fees or w/e. I really don’t want to bring my stick on a bus, especially if I also end up bringing my laptop and camera for recording and uploading matches.
Edit: Now with hype Rose NWM avatar, using Gimp fuglied the colors on her though.
Having multiple console setups for games seems like a losing proposition.

It requires more stuff for people to bring.

People will think that “because SF4 is on 360 and on PS3, I can bring my PS3 (only) stick and use it for the tournament, right?” WRONG. (MAYBE.) Because if somebody else does the same thing with a 360 stick, now we have two players who can’t play against each other.
You cannot avoid the situation where a person wants to compete but does not already own a joystick for the chosen system. Since it cannot be avoided, we should just choose the system that will inconvenience the fewest people. If you don’t have a stick, you’ll have to buy or borrow one. Honestly, it probably won’t be a big deal.
Pasqual: I bet you have to do something in order for GIMP to choose a decent color palette. Possibly convert to RGB, then paste in your new art, then convert back down to indexed color? That’s what I’d do in phoshoppe, don’t have real experience with the Jimpe.
Unless there’s a decent number of people bringing in both 360s and PS3s, I think it’d be a bad idea to split the tournament between the two. Hopefully people will be nice enough to let people borrow sticks in case that happens.
I’ll give that a try, sounds good. I basically have only animated low-res, high contrast pixel stuff in Gimp before so I’m not used to palette issues.
