Saturday, the LanDiego crew will be having an event in Kearny Mesa. Tournaments will be UMVC3 on Xbox 360 and Starcraft 2. The venue these guys rent out is huge, usually about 8 -10 console setups and tons of PCs.

We would love to see some of you top players come out for casuals and the marvel tournament. The last few events have had about 10-16 people enter for the fighting games, we need more.
Food and drinks are provided.
Opens early around 4-5ish pm and ends late around 1-2am. Tournament will not end that late though.

I will check out the next one as we are having OFC. I used to go to every PDXLAN (500 man lan lol) for quite a few years to compete with my clan and always liked the lan scene.

Doing some research past few days for streaming equipment. I firmly stand by the idea that we need to start streaming these events. TONS of people show up, so we can garner this to be a major location in the San Diego County scene. Anyway I found this:http://blitzcast.com/
Their Blixbox Gamepro 1080 allows for Composite, RCA AND HDMI out puts using USB 2 as the interface. Also comes with an little audio mixer to allow for Commentary. I was thinking maybe we should do a drive and raise money for it, it’s normally 269 but it’s not out yet so they offer a Pre-order rebate of $100 (instant) and an extra $20 later. So at the most we’ll pay $170. Buzz on it is that it’s good. It comes out next month so we have plenty of time to raise the money. I have an EasyCapwe can use in the meantime though still working out the kinks of how we can hook it up; layout wise, like what station is gonna be the stream spot, etc.
Also since these things are only going to get bigger and when I figure out my living situation, forget it! Incoming blast! My family and I need our own home so we are looking for a place to go. When that happens, some of the heavy lifting will be alleviated from ed’s home and be put on mine. So we’ll have 2 locations. If that works out we can then have it be a consistent weekly thing, just switching locations between the 2 of us.
Lastly I’m working on a project that came to me 2 weeks ago in the shower. I honestly believe is going to blow everyone’s mind and can turn the FG Scene on it’s ear. Seriously! I’m working on a proof of concept 1st which should take me a few weeks. Trust me it’s HUGE!!! Ed if you get a chance hit me up so we can talk about a few things, nothing serious; just with me not working, currently, have more time to get majorly involved in these. I respect and value your opinion VERY much and wouldn’t not consider making a move without you backing me up.
I have no problem making donations towards equipment if needed.
