Time for us to discuss the equipment situation in EZ. It’s the same thing as last time, we’re not able to provide an equipment incentive so any equipment you lend us for the day will be out of your own generosity. We do ask that you label your equipment for obvious reasons, if need be I’ll provide sticky notes.
Equipment we have:
6 monitors, 4 for major games and 2 for minor games
4 X360s updated for AE and MvC3
4 copies of AE and MvC3 for the X360
2 PS2s
2 copies of 3S and GGAC for the PS2
Equipment we need:
4 PS3s updated for T6 and MK (2 of them need to be updated for BBCS2 and AH3 as well)
4 copies of T6 and MK for the PS3
2 copies of BBCS2 and AH3 for the PS3
All extra monitors, systems and games that you bring will go to casuals. We plan on running 1 major using 4 monitors and 1 minor using 2 monitors at a time. While running a major on the PS3 we’ll run a minor on the PS2 and while running a major on the X360 we’ll run a minor on the PS3. This way we can avoid overlapping matches and equipment shortages as much as possible. We will stop each bracket once they reach the top 4 and play them on the main monitor for everyone to see and try to get them recorded.

so that means we have Columbia, Florence, and Myrtle Beach SC coming. and if everything pans out we will also have the ATL in the house!!!

edit: i dont know what their plans are 100% but this could be potentially good news for both EZ and the RESE tournaments. would anyone be opposed to opening doors for rooming if they asked to guarantee both tournaments see attendance?

I know your PS3 is definitely good for T6 and MK (also AH3 since I think you did the PSN share with that game) but what about BBCS2?
If I remember correctly we’re also having Augasta, GA. If ATL is coming then we definitely need to have T6 as a major game. Tell GA to post up in the EZ thread and RSVP that shit. This is really looking like the biggest tourney NC has had in awhile.
We have 3 people who usually bring PS2’s to our sessions (Tom, Sal, Tracey) and I know for a fact that 1 of them can play Japanese games (we always play the Japanese version of 3S) but I"m not sure which one.

about MK dlc: the reason i say they shouldnt be allowed is because they are untested. there are already 2 known Skarlet glitches and im sure there will be wrinkles with Kenshi as well. i PERSONALLY think we should wait until they are patched before making them tournament legal.
Had a great time yesterday at Josiah’s, thanks again for hosting. Had great games with everyone and had a wonderful talking with some people I haven’t seen in a while.

Just remember that even if we have our needs met with equipment I still encourage bringing extra just in case of unforeseen circumstances and of course casuals.

No I already explained that we can’t offer equipment incentives, any equipment you donate will be out of generosity. Our deal with the venue owner is that as long as we use our own equipment we only have to pay $5. That $5 venue fee is an iron clad rule that we can’t change unless we want to break our deal with the venue.
oh ok thats cool i was gonna bring equipment anyway i was just wondering. put me up for bringing a xbox 360 and do you guys need the ssf4:AE disc or can i bring ssf4 with ae already downloaded on my console?
Both work although I think Kevin is bringing in the last 360, I’m just trying to check if his has the MvC3 DLC on it. But of course don’t let that discourage you since any extra equipment is going to casuals which I know everyone likes.
