But yeah on the “Marvel is a bad game” discussion… I won’t say that it’s bad. I also won’t say it’s balanced, but I do know it’s fun. It’s a breath of fresh air, with offense, and no holds barred cheese. Unlike SF4’s restricted, very controlled environment, MVC3 is pretty much the complete opposite. I personally enjoy that aspect, I like the freedom of movement, dumb shit, long ass combos, etc etc.
I know I complain about Wolverine but I don’t know if we’ve fully fleshed out fighting that character. He’s dumb NOW. He still has some stuff that will always always be strong but I also think there may be more to it… I don’t know. I’m not going to lay down and just accept defeat from that character because this is fuckin’ Marvel… I’ll just have to out cheese him.
On SSF4… as long as people here are playing that, I’ll put some time into it. It might not be fun but it probably does help better you as a player.

I see nothing new has changed in NC since i’ve been gone. Glad to be back, heard rumors about Current Code and I think a confirmation on KOF XIII. Although I realize neither are capcom games so i’m not so sure if anybody really gives a shit outside of maybe 10-20 guys.
Tekken 6 will be at Lucky’s this weekend. DeMo has got this covered. As always.

About Tekken:
maybe with this whole sudden influx of new players around here I may not have made myself clear or introduced myself properly. Hi! Im DeMo. You see the sn here, I am also SilentSymphony on Tekken Zaibatsu. If there’s ANYBODY to talk to about Tekken in NC, im that guy. I may not be the best player in the state but I AM one of the most knowledgeable. If there’s a tournament or a gathering and im there, Tekken is ALWAYS with me, no questions, no ifs ands or buts about it.
With that said, I’ve also proven to be consistent with my tournament attendance. In 4 years I’ve only missed 3 Lucky’s events and I don’t intend to miss this weekend. This means that Tekken will be there and it will be run BY ME as always. Here’s the rules

random stage unless agreed on by BOTH players

pot split is 70/20/10 unless entries are low
now I know a few of us play other games (ace plays AE I know and I play MK) so Tekken will start NO LATER than 3pm. other games have to be run and my setup will likely be used for another game, so be on time.

I’ve been using Challonge for a while to run online tourneys for a different forum and it’s great! It doesn’t track all the same things as Tonamento though, like pot totals or regions, and it doesn’t show a list of matches that should be playing or anything. Basically it’s great for online mostly because the players can report their own results and the bracket will auto advance. I’ve never had occasion to use Tonamento myself but I understand that it’s better for offline stuff.

The only thing Tonamento really has over Challonge is the fact that Tonamento keeps tracks of wins, placing, and pot totals of players over time, and then sorts players by rank.
Problem is, that stuff only really matters if many tournaments are consistently recorded, and no one is really using Tonamento that much anymore.

I hadn’t posted since June 6th, that’s far from 2 days ago. I was at CEO the entire time. Wish I could make it to ECT3 as well but two majors in the same month is a bit costly for me.
