c3…impact clash…c3…impact clash… decisions decisions
Check yo pms kid.
Fuck the hate, I could bust a nut so epic it’d look like a piss stream just based off how good KOF XII looks right now. Considering my only request is the game doesn’t have infinites or one character that shits on the whole cast. It’d be kinda hard to fuck this game up for me.

No one will buy this.
About that…I got 20 on Iori. Any takers?
I’ll take that it’s not Iori.
Counter-attack system + snk game = throw character being top, if I had to guess.
Place ya betz!!

You forget that it being an SNK game, you don’t need a full grappler character, just a fast, high-priority combo character who was given a really good combo-setup command throw that he didn’t even need.
Somebody like…Iori.
As far as KoFXII characters getting the broke treatment…I got my money on Goro.
Matt: You’re incorrect sir. Its definitely CAN’T not WON’T. I will happily sit down with my stick, press buttons and do moves and all that jazz but I just CAN’T play it. I know it sounds defeatist but as much as I like it, maybe its just not my style of game. But dammit, I love how it looks, I love the sound, I love the combo structure…I just have a hard time grasping WHAT to do and WHEN. You gotta admit, GG is very deep and complicated for a 2D title.
As far as good anime goes, I own all the ones you guys have mentioned. But have any of you seen Perfect Blue? I would highly suggest it. Also if youre in the mood for a series, I would say Gunslinger Girl. Its fairly short but really entertaining.
O.
I’m in the same boat as you. I like everything about GG, but I simply can’t grasp the overall concept. I can pull of the combos and what not, but the system feels a bit needlessly complicated at times. Honestly though, the biggest problem for me is finding a character I actually like. There just doesn’t seem to be anyone that really fits my play style.
are any gaming events going on this weekend? if so let me know i would like to get out of my house and go
GGs not that complicated system wise once you get a good grasp of the game. Once you learn it you can play most games of that style, ie Arcana or whatever. Just have to play till it all clicks.
Good stuff tonight triad! The fun factor for SF4 seems to be going up and down for everyone. Regardless, our skill factor is shooting way the hell up.
Well I’ll be going to college in Raleigh so I’ll try to get down with the GG players over there. I’m trying to use Slayer but I get the feeling that he’s not a good character to start off with.
Are you still in F’ville? Cause I’ve been trying to get down in y’all sessions.
slayer is easy, just ask Jon. You mash normals in the air and they combo, do supers a lot, random specials that launch people, sweet one button overhead that combos into everything, sick one button anti air, combos off of random counter hit super for 80% damage, low profile crouch kick to bait dps, invincible back dash canceling, low that’s invulnerable to low strikes, launches, has sick range AND can be linked into
Jon doesn’t even FRC. The only kinda hard thing is “can you do combos” and approaching characters that can keep you away (me)
What’s even funnier is Jon probably only uses half of the stuff you mentioned, and closer to maybe a quarter of the character’s full options.
Damnit we need to play some Guilty Gear.
Damn you make it sound so easy, but I guess I’m still struggling with his links. Really I need someone to help teach me the game in person, so I’ll be doing casuals in GGAC at the next tourney. The main reason I’m using Slayer is because his normals remind me of other games, in which they seem as if they can be used as pokes to play footsies and have a mid range game.
