I’ve been thinking that was the issue behind you not entering tournaments. Since I’ve been in this group (mid-2005?) I don’t think you entered any tournaments unless somebody made you/talked you into it somehow. So that’s where I was coming from, the difference between the two of us being that you just went to hang out and I entered things. I was under the impression you never played casuals/at home either since I never saw it except a few times with GG/NGBC a long time ago.
I didn’t mean it as er…something bad, because I don’t play either unless I’m at a gathering or tournament. I got back from my parents’ after the accident near the first of February and still haven’t hooked up my PS2. Your situation is different though, cause I actually have time to and you don’t…

edit: Okay so I talked to Blake about this and apparently you meant EVERYTHING, not just fighting games…so my bad there. Everybody needs a DS at least though?

UPDATE:
The “pron” movie on AdultSwim was actually a movie called “The Room”. Pretty much it’s an extremely cheesy and horribly acted and put together movie and everytime there was a sex scene they’re be these HUGE ass black bars all over the screen. Me and my roomate found a funny drinking game that can be played while watching it, but other than that this is the worst fuckin’ movie I’ve ever seen…yes, even worse than The Legend of Chun-Li, Dead or Alive and anything Uwe Boll has ever directed.
Resident Evil 5 talk (don’t read if you haven’t beat it):
Yeah, I feel ya as far as what everyone’s been saying about this game. When me and James made it to the final boss battle I couldn’t help but yell “BROTHER!!” in my Ocelot voice the entire time. It felt like it was a good idea and good story but it was rushed so they didn’t have time to smoothly transition between areas so it feels like you’re just jumping from one place to another. Also after the licker’s finally show up they kinda just stopped givin a shit or ran out of time:
-since when was Jill a blonde?
-the last 1/4 of the game has RIDICULOUSLY cheesing dialogue
-Demo made a good point. Where the fuck were the lions?
-about 2/3 into the game you get a random cover system, so now everytime I play Gears of War I’ll try to run up and punch / backflip someone after a few shots to their legs.
-The Giant Bugs that walk at you like a fuckin Mummy are cheap!!
-How come you can’t give your partner a gun?
but on they plus side it’s still a good co-op game to run through and I’m sure I’ll play Mercenaries mode a bit when I’m just killin time, but other than that. I don’t see any reason to play through the story again unless you’re just tryin to get all of the achievements. RE4 > RE5…FRAAAAAAYYY!!

I’ve decided to come to the tournament saturday, though I haven’t been to practice the past few days and my stick is in for repairs. Using a ps3 controller isn’t bad, but it puts some hurt on my thumbs.

If anybody outside of Raleigh is up to the drive, and wants to come play some games tomorrow, we’ll be playing at State.
We can get like 2 SF4 setups going (one on 360) and then another setup of something else if enough people come.
I’m interested. I’m already tired of Scrub Fighter 4 online and I only played it for a total of 2 hours. I just think SF4 (Or any other SF game for that matter) isn’t right for me so I’ll be bringing a GGAC/AHF setup to this. Just need the address and I’ll be there.

GGs Tom. That fight is a bitch for Viper it seems (Abel does too much damage), but I felt like I was getting the hang of it near the end of the set. Of course, when I’m missing ultras left and right, that doesn’t help either.
I don’t know how the hell you people play on square gated sticks. It’s a bitch getting used to those damn things.
