I was hoping for one last big NGBC event at Final Round but all it inspires is massive hate coupled slightly with apathy.
I guess that’s all that left in the game. Bunch of pissing and arguing.

That’s the saddest part of all this…NGBC is actually fairly popular among US SNK fans.
It’s the best selling SNK game on US console …ever.
There’s actually a sizeable portion of dedicated fans who still play the game. I know because people ask me about the game online and IRL whenever I mention the game. It actually has an appeal to Americans that KOF doesn’t.
It’s just you can’t talk about the game here without “lol Big/Kim iz broke” or erupting into a massive flamewar about nothing. And then there’s the Tung glitched stupidity. Yes, I know Tung sucks but you think when the average player who wants to learn the game see Muscleman do 55% that he’s going to want to play at a higher level?
People are confident online because that little voice in the back of their head that says “maybe you should watch what you say, this guy might punch you in the face” isn’t there to scare them into respect. Thankfully, we have you to return that voice to their mind, even on the internet.

I’ll play NGBC if we have some time to warm up. I’m not gonna bitch about top tier. They’re always there in every game. Deal with it, be the better player, or go to the dark side.
Same goes for people having trouble in SF4. Get better, keep playing, you will find solutions. I was complete ass when I first started, and am still pretty bad, but I know I’m improving. I went to getting my ass kicked to winning some rounds to sometimes winning matches to now pretty regularly winning matches. Just gotta stick with the shit. Think back to when you sucked in other games and stuck with it and eventually got good.
I’ve had lots of times where I wanted to give up at a game, but not anymore, because I’ve been through those times and remember how I felt then, and how I stuck with it. You stick with anything long enough and try to improve…you’ll see results.
All I know is that it is mathmatically impossible for Sakura to beat Sagat more than half the time he’s beating her. It’s always 2:1 ratio Sagat to Sakura. These are the rules. I didn’t make the game.
I’d just say stick with your characters, game’s gonna get balanced and sagat won’t be the broke fuck he is now. Get good with your shitty characters and then when they get buffed, you can beast.
Heh, I don’t mind the tiers. In fact, I enjoy beating a “better” character than my own. Hence, JiBbo in 3rd strike. I was just playfully referring to playing Alex on PSN earlier today, where I would beat him a match, then he’d beat me two matches. EVERY. TIME. This pattern continued up somewhere around 20:40ish. Most all the games were really close though.

I kinda relate Akuma to Slayer. You play him defensively till you get a knockdown or touch them with an air fireball while you’re near them, then you go apeshit on offense till you lose advantage, run the fuck away, lather rinse repeat. He even has the easy ass wake up teleport get the fuck off me option.
Only thing was Slayer could take waaaaaaaaaaaay more hits than Akuma. Maybe playing Akuma will make me better at Slayer though.

Cept you don’t really go on offense with Akuma. Cuz it’s a horrible idea, seeing as how risk-reward is SOOOOOO far towards risk every time you get near an opponent with him. you can hit confirm off am EX fireball sometimes, but most times your best option is to continue turtling. If you give them a chance to hit you, you might die. He’s really fun when it doesn’t matter, tho.
The economy will get better, but Larry has alluded to ending Final Round for other reasons.
Frankly, like Roski he is a bigger and better person that most of us will ever be considering the massive disrespect and shit he’s taken over the years especially from West Coast players and the SRK Powers That Be that have willfully ignored the significance and existence of FR.
How sad is it that one of the VERY, VERY few West Coasters that has even made the trip to Final Round is fucking Dark Prince? And even then the first year he was there he acted like a total dickwad and almost got Sentinel stomped IRL?
