In regards to the whole Dante anchor thing I was just pretty much responding to the comment that Dante isn’t a very good anchor. When I think of an anchor I’m thinking of someone who is able to hold their own without any assist. Granted it may not be the most ideal but I feel like he still works. Also, I’m going by my experiences agianst Jon, Blake, Jose, and Garret’s Dante. Giving any of them Dante with level 3 XF = scary to me. Now if we are talking about comparing Dante to top tier anchors then that’s a different story, but among the entire cast he’s definitely higher than lower on that list.

Yeah shinsobeam, I’ve played Catherine before, it’s a decent game in its own right but I don’t consider it a game that needs to be at a fighting game tournament since it takes away a spot on a tv that could be used. Same way how I feel Gears shouldn’t be at a tournament but since there’s a money match involved… I’m gonna Judge Mills Lane-allow it. lol

I can understand that point of view but since someone is bringing their own setup for it entirely it’s not really forcefully taking away anything. It’s sort of like the mystery games at some majors, I mean could you honestly believe Justin Wong competed in some hardcore ass battleship at something this year? I think they had some other pretty cooky mystery-type games that were for cash. I mean the guys at state play it a whole ton and since we aren’t having as many games at this tournament as our usual ones it seems to be ok to me. We’re kind of doing a “testing tournament” after all, never hosted one at NCSU.
It’s good fun and it is 1v1 versus, like problem with a lot of other competitive games are either they are team games or they are RTS…100-200ms of lag isn’t a big deal in RTS. I mean before we would have Puzzle League(tetris attack) side tournies and I’m sure one of the big blurry Tvs that have Wii’s hooked up to them will be playing mario party 4,5,8.
Okay, so, DP is out for Season’s Beatings, meaning I now have a spot in my car and in the room. SOMEONE else in NC has to be interested in going I’m sure. Let me know if you guys can manage going to the hypest tournament of the year.

Also, still nothing on my copy of Tekken 6. Ive already replaced it (well rather I already had another copy) but the fact that nobody has spoken up on it is saddening. It was in the far right system, beside one that was running AH3. Who’s was that? I asked it like 30 times that night and got no concrete answer. My game didnt just grow legs by itself lol. Either way im not mad, but from now on my games will only be used with my hardware, this prevent any future issues.
I don’t know I didn’t recognize the guy that was normally playing on it, have you called EZ someone might of said they had an extra copy along with it must of been someone that normally doesn’t go to tournies.

Half the reason I am pushing it is because I found the game still fun after I started pulling it apart, alot of games like this come apart at the seams pretty quickly.

@Jos: SFIVAE, FT5, $50, best out of three rounds, Xbox 360 system, single character choice by either opponent, settings (handicap, damage, etc.) default, stage select doesn’t matter. Those rules and wager work for you?
@Brian: Then just forget about Gears 3 then. I wanted to do money matches at ReSe. Right now its me vs. Jos in T6 confirmed and me vs. Will in 3SOE confirmed. Right now I’m waiting confirmation from Jos about a SFIVAE MM and in the progress of trying to get a AH3 MM against Demo.
Remember when I posted whose system was doing what. Did you mean the far left (the lcd?) because I already said the AH3 LCD HannsG was all Matt’s stuff and Shinso’s copy of AH3, then we had Sevenths System and my TV on the CRT to the left and then I don’t know whose CRT was the far far right but that system (the PS3 slim) was Namedas.

The system on the far right (coming from the entrance) with the LCD was my setup and it only ran MK and Tekken. The Guy who put his Tekken in my system picked it up after the Tekken bracket was over. I don’t know his name but he sat over there training for the bracket for a while by himself and played Asua(spell?). By the end of the night MK was back in the system for casuals and ran until the end of the round robin. Demo, you put your copy of Tekken into the system that was next to mines that had a CRT(the tv that ran the Tekken brackets). Before you started the bracket I said there’s a copy here that that kid was training on and you said its cool you had your own…I don’t remember you taking your copy out after the bracket was over.
