Hey guys, I’m thinking of training hard this week for the Super Arcade qualifier next Saturday. On Wednesday, I’d like to go to Southtown at 3pm until about 6pm, when Gamecenter will be open til midnight. Gimme some comp, guys!
papasi, ultracombo, and I will be making the trip down next week for the qualifier. Anyone interested in qualifiing for the ST Tournment of Legends at EVO should be training up for the Southtown qual on June 16.
For those that haven’t heard, it’s going down TODAY, Wednesday March 28 Southtown Arcade at 3pm. GameCenter at 6pm.
Fudd the World Warrior is hosting a training session to prepare for his trip for EVO qualifiers in Super Arcade in LA.
Those who want to play some high level ST should come through.
The session was cool, more people showed up than I expected. Quals were not so good for me, but ultracombo played well. Hope you guys are training for the Southtown qual.
If you’re playing D2 Hardcore, then I forgive you for not showing up. But if you’re playing Softcore, then it’s inexcusable
The lag + immense amount of spambots make it impossible to play HC, and plus ladder ends this month so I’m just playing SC to get free crap so its easier to play. Also if there’s some session that can be planned in a week ahead, post up I kind of want to play in person again but at the same time I’m apathetic towards it lol.
Regardless, you’re still a lot closer than I am to a place where you can play arcade ST for a dime. It’s as ultracombo reminded me when we were warming up at Super Arcade, “this game is so much better offline”.
Yeah, that’s true, but school and mashing Diablo 2 again kinda leaves me with like a meh thing towards fighting games right now, and I definitely miss ST offline, I played ST under a fake account the other day and I just didn’t like it at all. Maybe not being pisspoor and crap would make me want to play ST hardcore again.
Hi Everyone
I’m in San Jose and been playing offline regularly for a while. Gonna get my online stuff set up soon to get some games in. I’d definitely be down if there’s a meet up somewhere in the bay area
there really wasnt any room … but there was tons of people so … being ignorant there is one of two possible problems …
either kineda needs to put more money up front to get a venue space big enought … casual placements alone … there wasnt even enough space for what was going down already … the arrangement made spaces very crowded .
or two… they need to charge more … which I cant believe being a late comer who got charged 60 but it may be the case … maybe some cheaper more spacious venues need to be found … what ever it is , that place was like a humid as shit
Yeah, the venue was really small and cramped, it was hard to even maneuver around the pools/casuals area without whacking some dudes arm while he was playing and dying from some smelly dude’s stench. The stage looked cool, but as a venue it could do a ton of work. You can’t hold majors in small cramped areas anymore, this is 2012 where every potmonster on earth wants to come out and play.
I’d be interested in going on the 28th. Haven’t been to game center yet and would like to check it out. Hopefully enough people will come out to play ST.
