:lol: well as far as closer gatherings today is the Melty Blood tournament at chabot college in the caffeteria. starts at 5pm and if your interested **Smash **starts at 7pm and the whole GZR Nights! is from 5pm-10pm. it’s $6 to enter per tournament but there is also free play in these games and others as well. and in the free play we have Guilty Gear:AC and CvS 2 and Marevl vs Capcom 2 and 3rd strike on the side as well. Makes me wonder how serious NorCal is about playing GG though. I appear to be the only one, to my knowledge, that really cares about improving in the scene. D:
Looks like I missed out dis week. Im tryin 2 work myself back up into the GGX AC. I was out da Gamezone last week for the Marvels tourny. Yea im not all dat good so i got my ass handed to my by Sent. Damn shame but it was good 2 play sum1 else.
well the US GGAC release certainly helped to gather interest but there still needs more pushing to get hype and have people get serious about the game. A few people at fairfield and a few at sfsu simply isn’t enough… =(
I think if there was actually more planning behind gatherings and such rather than “we’re gonna get together some random thursday” and giving people time in advance to see if they’d make it or not, turnout would probably improve…
Yeah, it wouldn’t be bad if we had some kind of coordination going between this thread and the Dustloop Nor Cal Thread. Since a lot of people either check one or the other.
I’m also trying to see if I can get bi-weekly ranbats set up at SFSU, but the friend that goes to SFSU hasn’t gotten back to me yet on if he talked to the person who runs the arcade. If you guys are interested about having bi-weekly ranbats (which is what the NorCal scene really needs, IMO), then post your thoughts and opinions in that Dustloop thread.

In any case, PM an address too me. It’s not likely I’ll be able to come due to short notice, but I’ll give it some though. The distance kind of sucks cus I live in Elk Grove.
Decided not to come due to such short notice. Maybe next time I’ll think about heading out, although an hour’s drive for some casuals is a bit much with the price of gas these days. ^_^;
