Noodle Bowl Head?

God no matter how many times I see that video it gets me every time.

I hope it only happens to Chun. Character specific things like that will have people counter-picking stages just to spite the other player lol.

It will be fun if you have to taunt to remove it

Chose: risk or humiliation

You guys might think it’s fun now, but will you still find this funny after playing the game for 5+ years?
Things like this become old and annoying pretty fast.

Only casuals and scrubs place importance over silly crap like having a bowl on the head throughout a match and laughing over it than actual gameplay.

As a stage transition or short cinematic reward for finishing with revenge, that’s fine, but the whole round afterwards is what kills me.

This. Now if this is character+stage specific thing than maybe it’d happen rarely enough that it would actually be kind of cool, but I doubt that’s the case.

I haven’t gotten tired of doing Ultra combos and stage fatalities at the end of each match in Killer Instinct. I haven’t got bored of character win animations. I didn’t get bored of trying to land one more attack after you win a round in vanilla SF4.

From what we know, you can only get the ramen noodles if you land a super/ultra on a character in certain locations of that specific stage. I think it’s safe to assume every stage isn’t going to have noodles in the corner.

Everybody complaining about a minor fun addition to the game, that in the end does NOTHING to hamper your playing of the game, seriously whines too fucking much. Change your diaper, and get off the internet, there is no place for your tears here.

Given people’s reactions this will probably be patched so the bowl comes off again.

And honestly ppl are just going to use a lame ass training stage for every fucking match anyway.

There’s always a hipster or two that only play a modded version of the game. That’s why training stage gets picked most of the time since it’s usually the stage that gets modded.

The cutscene reminded me of the earlier wwf smackdown games on the ps1/ps2

:frowning: hahahaha.

Blanka no! Not the head bite!

Please tell me that was headed though. There is no way the show was that bad? Is there?

I don’t mind the bowl…but make it fall off if I want.

During the start of the second round have the character auto toss it. If it is a final round K.O. Keep it.

Not that big of a deal.

I wonder if they will pull a MK and implement battle dmg. And since rounds restart to neutral unlike MK they could restart battle dmg as well. I wouldn’t mind me some battle dmg.

I like the bowl, its tongue in cheek fun - but it should fly off Vega mask style after being knocked down or something.
I’d be down for battle damage
DOA5 doesn’t do any cloth ripping, but I like the details of sweat, dirt, snow and water accumulating on the clothing.
hope to at least see that to a degree but unlikely

What other things would you like to see for other stages?

-I can imagine falling into streams/fountains

-Flying into a building and crashing into classic arcade games as a user already said

-Blasted into a theatre showing the in-universe equivalent of the VanDamme SF movie starring Fei Long or something random each time you’re sent there

-Smacking into statues and having debris land on your head

-For a jungle or Blanka stage, blasting through a tree and having a torrent of fruit fall on you.

-City streets of something, fall into the crowd, old lady with purse smacks you on the head while you’re dazed

I really don’t think they should follow Injustice’s lead and have everything possible be interactive. With those elements they were clearly trying to distract from how much the game was an MK re-skin whether you loved, liked or hated the game that much is undeniable.

Omg I’d love to see you get a Carmen Miranda hat in SFV
