Sent/Strider/Tron is Team Tickle. BELIEVE IT!
strider/tron i believe has an abusable string where by the time you teleport, even if they block the beginning of the string, they have to switch directions because of the gap between the 2nd and 3rd ring.
it’s something like c. short + tbonne-g, c. forward xx teleport up behind , (3rd tbonne ring hits), falling j. fierce, c. short, c. forward, c. fierce ^ etc air combo
very abuseable, although I don’t see it too much. I also forget the exact sequence, but it’s pretty close to the above.
I also second cammy/strider/tbonne. I use it as anti-storm/sent/capcom, not to mention the random stuff cammy/strider has (call strider-b assist, whiff cannon spike, then strider hits them from behind).
Strider/tbonne works because strider’s super makes your opponent block. From there, your opponent has to be real good at blocking Strider’s orb mixups, or they’ll be eating tbonne-g into combo. Can be quite effective.
i like spiral/strider/capcom. you can call out spirals assist twice per orb setup which is 12 damage on swords alone + pets + orb chip damage. with this set up you dont even have to teleport to do the trap. Have spiral be your charger, dont let her die tho, youll want that assist for strider.
You could substitute capcom for sentinal but i havent tried that team yet.
Ya i really think that team can win. Spiral’s assist is open to recall too quick. it breaks open lock-down strings for lows across the board so its GOT to be applicable with the god of lock.
snap-out or kill a character then:
bird+call spiral, bird, bird, bird+knives hit, bird+call spiral xx activation
You can qcfHK+Spiral just drumming the buttons from HK -> Assist, once you figure out how to do it clean (ie don’t do snap instead), you can do it free in a lot of spots.
You can do weird SAFE orbs chips with spiral by doing the above string but adding an orb layer to it. In other words in between Bird/Spiral calls, you throw 1-2 orbs out. It gets you average orb/doom chip but from mid distance.
It lets Strider TURTLE which if you believe in mind games, that adds another element b/c normally he’s got to get in to be dangerous. IMO its a tighter distanced lockdown than Spiral/Sent can do. Theres a lot less obvious holes.
Spiral/Strider (variaty): Strider, instant HP Grab (don’t mash), then…
…launcher, air combo
or
…snap out

^^^ 4x bird i can only see being useful in that dead character/guard break situation. My Strider’s on the up and up, but I’m a Spiral player though, so when I pick this team its a gimmick.
I just know that Bird+Spiral, immediate Bird comes out too quick. The hole is in the half-second or so that you can’t recall Spiral yet-- so you would have to decide whether to go for that repeat Bird or Teleport or Close Bomb or Activation.
Not a smart move on Cable.
