Missing Person had it right. I sign his post twice. Net Neutrality is a huge win, for everyone. Fuck political parties.
this thread is straight failsville, population: everyone who clicked on that worldstarhiphop link for legitimate news.
How else are they supposed to stop pedophilia websites cropping up all over the net?
haha, right? i mean, whenever i open up my web browser and type anything into google i notice at least 5 new pedo/child porn sites a day.
What the fuck are you talking about? Worldstarhiphop is the only news source that matters.
Obviously you’re right. I tried to educate them, but unfortunately, this site doesn’t allow me to draw in crayon and backwards letters to explain it to certain people.
I almost said something in argument to this based on the fact that “iPhone only supports GSM,” but then I remembered that iPhone is now in S. Korea, which uses CDMA. Basically yeah.
Not like I want an iPhone anyway. Once Android OS becomes more mature, the only thing iPhone will win on is brand marketability, and that could change if people become more aware of Android (which, watching Verizon commercials, is possible).

I’m pro iPhone for one reason…I already have hundreds of apps that I’ve paid for because of my itouch and iPad, I’m NOT buying apps all OVER again, so I’m waiting for that verizon…though because of the ass rapage that is their data plan, I might check AT&T and switch up…not sure yet though.

I like how people in this thread are completely missing the point by reiterating regulations over and over like a parrot instead of discussing the real issue of whether FCC should have control.

If a company is abusing their power in providing service (E.G. Comcast blocking data from competitors), then someone needs to step in and intervene to protect consumers’ rights. Doing what Comcast does may not constitute a monopoly per se, but it does make free enterprise harder, and that in itself is unfair business practice.
But that’s as far as the FCC should go. Freedom of speech/press should be maintained, and tiered speeds for internet service is not illegal or unfair. That’s called getting what you pay for. You only need 768k down you say? Well pay for that. Need more? Pay for that.
However, I do agree that internet speed vs. price is ridiculous here compared to the rest of the world. I’m paying $35 monthly for 3mbps down/768kbps up. I go to Korea, and I’m paying like $5 more for 20mbps both ways at the bare minimum IIRC.
I’d say America needs to get on the ball, but if Frontier were to finally get with the times and provide that infrastructure, they’d have us paying $100 for it.
