No Mans Sky, explore 16 quintillion planets! Release date, August 2016

No, thats not the point, they implied that you would be able to SEE other players at the very least.

Even implied that you could modify your avatar.

Whatever. They need to feel the burn.

How long do you guys think they need to lay low before coming out with another game (if that’s possible)?

What do you think happened in that emergency boardroom meeting?

I bet grown men cried. Then went home to scream at their wives.

Not the same lol

One thing I’m hoping for is that the fate of No Man’s Sky will serve as an example and other studios won’t follow suit with bullshit and lies

The last thing we need in this industry is everybody pulling an “Alien: Colonial Marines” and getting away with it

The dev’s stated that there was multiplayer
but for their convenience they also stated that the game was so huge that meeting another player was near impossible

They never flat out said that there was no multiplayer or that no 2 players could meet

and then 2 players stood in the same spot on the same planet on day 1 unable to see eachother
lmao

I agree though
If you played more than 2 hours, by steam rules you can’t refund
you shouldnt be able to refund the game if you played a good amount of hours, especially 50
then you’re just being an asshole

To my knowledge the guy who put 50+ hours into the game experienced consistent technical issues (crashes) after said 50 hours. He used this as an excuse for his refund.

Nah fam. If you don’t want to wait for patches considering you like the game so much to log 50 hours, then an exchange or small gift card is the best you get. You’ve committed to your purchase for way too long to get 50 hours of gameplay for free. Damn thief.

The problem is that there’s no way anyone would have noticed everything that was missing after only two hours since the game is still really huge, and any monster types, behaviors, and environments could be hand waved away as a result of the game being procedurally generated and you would encounter them sooner or later.

Hello Games has the Joe Danger games to fall back on.

Speaking for myself, The money is not as big an issue for me as it is for others. Like I’ve said before, I already had that cash marked for use on PSN anyway, but part of the reason I bought this game was the mulitplayer. If it was just broken, well…I’m upset. We all know that shit breaks, so I’ll be patient. When it is discovered that the shit is a lie, NOW I’m mad. If it had been only 15 to 20 bucks, I probably wouldn’t have AS mad, but I would’ve still felt like the game is a rip off and would’ve said as much. That’s before you get into the rest of the garbage. You can’t even SEE the other players, much less interact with them!! My plans to shoot NickRocks in the back on top of a mountain of Gold? REKT! REKT I TELL YOU!!

In the case of this game, the crashing glitch would’ve been a killer even if it HAD the other things. Who’s gonna be able to enjoy a game where you spend more than half of it in the loading screens? I’ve gotten it to crash 10 times in an hour. Just…Damn. There’s a vid where some poor guy got kicked out of his starship upon landing, sending him a long ways away from said starship, and into near certain doom while trying to find his way back. Other pains in the ass like not being able to return to a planet after you’ve left it (Unless you’re REALLY lucky) and inability to simply upgrade your ship are all combining to make this game not worthy of playing, owning, or supporting. Just my two cents.

I like how when Sean is “playing” the game on the Colbert Report his fingers aren’t even moving.

Unless…he’s secretly a Jedi.

“You WILL get hype for this game…”

Apparently some people on PSN have reported getting refunds also. Gonna send in a ticket and try my luck.

I can’t believe Sony has jumped on the hater train!

Look at all those refunds.

There’s so many of you!*

Let’s not forget Sean pretendingn to be amazed when those two streamers tried to link up. “Omg two people finding each other already” and I swear the devs tried to play it off as “server issues”

Remember - Valve/Steam started refunding first, they’re the main haters of Sean Murray and Hello Games! Those bastards!

There is another game made by Capcom that is also gonna be doing procedural generation and thats Deep Down…
Procedural dungeons and enemies so I’m wary of how that will turn out as well even though it aint on the same scale as No Man’s Sky.
