The problem is that even up to a month before releasing the game, they had been advertising it as something that it obviously was not going to be. They removed a lot of things from the game. So if you’be been following the game for a while and you say that you like the final outcome, you’re a liar. This isn’t the game they sold you on. Maybe if it was close, but it’s just so far removed.

Yes the game is a technical marvel in terms of sheer size but it fails in every other aspect. Even in terms of world generation the game fails to provide anything complicated. Each world is a single biome with no logical river or ocean systems, animal life is its own entity entirely and randomly tacked on, every planet in the system is colonized by the same alien species who share a common architectural style, no gas giants, no planetary rings, no orbits/planetary spin, etc. It doesn’t take long to realize how overtly homogenized a lot of the content is. The fucking suns are backdrops for godsake.
This game is literally the definition of a casual game. All style and aesthetics to veil the lack of content and shallow gameplay.
So part of the hate in this game is a general flaw in every Star Wars movie to date:
The forest moon of Endor, Hoth, Tatooine, Mustafar, Naboo, Coruscant, Dagobah, Sullust, Geonosis, Jakku, Kashykk, Utapau
At least they have Yavin and Bespin for gas planets

Sucks to say but Sean Murray is probably sitting on millions right now for being a con artist. Oh well, this just re-affirms my belief to be continually critical of indie devs/games.
Still got hopes for Tides of Numenera 
Torment: Tides of Numenera will not disappoint. Inxile proved themselves with Fallout 3 Wasteland 2. They also got the original team from Torment working on it, as well as people from Baldur’s Gate 3 Pillars of Eternity. Both W2 and PoE being in the top best WRPGs at the moment.
Also, Inxile’s team of RPG Gods working on what they do best vs NMS’s team of nobody trying to pull something way beyond them, while lying all the way trough.
It’s one of the games I’m looking most forward to.
Let this be a lesson learned.
