After watching some streams, I’m not nearly as impressed as I used to be. This game is like a less compelling and much longer version of Journey.
It seems that @SWBeta is playing the game and is calling all of his planets Harambe.

6 hours and I can’t bring myself to load this game up anymore. This is probably the worst video game purchase I’ve done in years. Important to note that I purchased D3 at launch also…
Here’s something more to think about. Even if all of the ruins looked different, what would be the point in visiting them just to see them. Basically everything that you do in this game, you can get into google and do by looking at images. I see people on Reddit posting pictures of the games scenery…is that not weird to anyone else? There no game to actually “play”, so people are justifying their purchase by “having fun” taking pictures. I’m convinced that NMS has to be some sort of social psych test.
The new age of games is all about doing mundane shit anyway.
Games somewhere along the line stopped being games and stagnated into being simply boring concepts with no structure of a game,
GTA5 has more to explore and do.
NMS Seemed like a full price tech demo.
Instead of 18 quintillion boring planets. They could have gave about 1000 interesting ones.
Destiny and No Man’s Sky feel like they should have honestly fused to form a half decent game.
If the devs act like this game is an Early Access game and keep updating it with new content, the game might be good in a half a year or more.
As it is it’s just a 2.5GB indie game that should cost $9.99

This game reminded me of something you get back in 1993 as part of a collection of games when you bought a pc. No offense to those few that enjoy it, just my impression of it
I remember those games. And I also remember Wing Commander Privateer.

Saw a guy on stream got to the center and the game just started over again as new game plus… no ending, no new game changes, no new alien races, nothing lol He said that the game wasnt worth $60.
It’s the journey not the destination gais…think about all the fun stuff you get to do on your way there.

there are exploration games that actually give you the freedom to build literally anything you want ranging from free to $30
im surprised he could play to game so quickly and repeatedly. This shit is by far one of the worst releases in a long time. I keep playing only to unlock some trophies but fack me the game is just a constent kick in the nuts. 60$ for a tech demo… A demo of the game engine.
I really dont see how ANYONE can have fun with this shit. There is literally no fucking game. The game is basically homeless simulator. Wakeup do some dumb shit to eat so you dont die sleep and walk around and do more dumb shit to live and go to sleep to wake up the next day and repeat the same nonsense.
I keep thinking it could be fun if i find a really cool planet or a really hostile planet… But no because the ai is dumb as bricks and seems like a bit more of an after thought to planet generation. I dont care if the studio is 10 people or 5000 people. If you make a game make sure its fucking fun. This shit is a walking simulator with no fucking story you literally just walk and fly around doing fuck all.
