So, Animal Crossing is coming out next week… Are we gonna put friend codes up here for that? I’m not absolutely sure how it works, but I’m not sure if I want to put my friend code up here for just anyone to run around my town and possibly jack it up, haha.
I think that, when the time comes, we’ll make a sticky thread for various friend codes.

Yeah I can’t wait for Animal Crossing. Never played the game but watched a video demonstration of the online play. We could have SRK celebrations like 99 day which is the celebration of the Dreamcast launch or have a Bauerites Gathering when 24 Season 5 debuts. I went on Gamefaqs and someone is already planing a christmas party.
Does Mario Kart support voice chat? I can’t seem to find any mention of it.

Oh yeah, and I finally can snake, though not as good as I want to. I’ll get it perfect, soon enough. I usually only snake if I’m way behind or everyone else is doing it, since if all the other guys I’m racing are noobs, they always drop out if I bust that shit out. 
EDIT: And the one game I would kill for on Wi-Fi is a Phantasy Star (Online or Universe style). That would make Nintendo and Sega ridiculous amounts of money.
Same here. But snaking can be a real hand killer ouch. The thumb muscles in my left hand are killing me. People were dropping me like a hot plate yesterday. I wouldn’t mind it as much if it weren’t for my current gripes about wi-fi.

Starting wfc matches is pretty hard because of this. And when you start one it’s usually with one other person. Sometime 4, but after the first race, 4th and sometimes 3rd place drop. -
People like to drop before the race even starts. I’m searching for opponents… 1… 2… both drop… 1…race start :lame: Why would they do that…all the time???:sad: It’s not *my *connection. I sit one room away from or right next to my wireless and maintain an unshakeable 3 mighty bars of connection.

Rivals (which is usually the most popular) makes no sense. My Win Lose record is like 26-5 I get matched up with 287-18 (I’m not lying) 0-30 and 53-72. or 5-28 20-77 and 0-76908476(ok that was made up) I don’t see how these people are of similar skill. They’re either very weak or very strong and sometimes in the middle. wtf?

That’s odd, I can find opponents all the time. Of course, I play online late at night (after my shift at the job) so folks in Japan (aka what “Worldwide” really translates into) are up and about, ready to play.
Is the latency between us and other worldwide players all that bad?

As for actual connections and stuff, I’ve had a few wierd things happen. Like freezes. Although I think the freeze only occurs when everyone drops but you. And certain opponent cart behavior that I will assume is lag. Stuff like:
Instantaneously zipping from one side of track to the other or back and forth.
Flying
Having two other racers CLEARLY in front of me (by about 3 or 4 cart lengths) and still being in 2nd place
The guy riding my tailpipe gets the item box/winning place when on my screen, he’s just huffing carbon monoxide.
Hitting someone with a green shell and they aren’t affeected for a few seconds.
I probably have trouble finding matches cuz I usually don’t get on till after 10pm. Maybe the weekend will have better competition.
hey, longshot, me and a buddy are going to play tonight (wednesday) at about 7:30 pacific, i think 10:30 your time. you should join. we won’t drop and will give you pretty good games
