One more question for you MKDS crackheads:
How does multiple character selection work online, or is pretty much “I got Yoshi first, bitch” type N64 deal? Also, is every character unlocked online?
You can only play people you’ve unlocked, so its possible to see people using characters you don’t have. Also, everyone can pick the same character.
i am a mkds crackhead. differences in online play…
you cannot carry items behind you and only 20 of the 32 tracks are available.
Also it feels as if certain stats are completely off in online mode, ie weight. I can’t push around Toad with Bowser online, but offline Toad’s flying off the damn cliff when I’m finished with him.
So I just used the nintendowifi site to check my hotspots… it turns out that non of the mcdonalds are wifi ready, but a resturant like EARLS is (earls is a mid to upper class resturant). It’s wierd.
Nintendo finally shipped out my wifi adapter so now I can join you all online. My friend code is 352247 179695.

It’s a technique where you do a series of zigzagging mini turbos in straightaways (and even turns, but it’s just a single mini turbo) to gain speed, hence the term “snaking.” People hate it and call it borderline cheating, but it’s been around since MK64 and is completely legit. It’s MKDS’ roll cancel.

Approach the straightaway going straight, then hop up and drift left, with your cart facing diagonally across to the right. Mini turbo out of your drift heading right, then hop up again and drift right with your kart facing diagonally left. Rinse and repeat and you got snaking.

- Sure why not. It’s pretty easy, the hardest part is getting the mini turbos to come out cleanly while drifting and maintaining balance without overturning during the drift. Try it in Baby Park.
