…did you mean to post the one for the XL?
Castlevania LoS MoF gets pushed back to 2013
I’m still playing through it steadily and I just finished going through Traverse town for the second time. Game feels a lot like KH 1 at first but with flowmotion built in but as you develop the dream eaters and gain abilities from doing them the combat feels closer to KH2…hasn’t quite reached that fluidity though. I’m enjoying it so far. I didn’t know how I felt about the drop system at first since you can be in the middle of something like a boss and you suddenly run out of time and gotta switch characters. My boss is playing it as well and hates it but the thing is if you plan well and keep track of your time and what’s going on you won’t have the problem unless you let it. You can use items to extend your time and as you get further into the game you can actually extend the amount of time that you spend with Riku or Sora unless you spend our Drop bonuses more on attack, defense, affinity, etc. It doesnt bug me really but I can see how someone could get annoyed with suddenly having to change characters when they’re in the middle of something.
I’m also not sure of how I feel about the deck system. As far as I’m aware you don’t have spells on standby shortcut that you can have instant access too like in the console KH games so when I’m the middle of a fight and I’m suddenly getting trampled by elephants I have to take the time to get clear in order to use the control pad to cycle through my secondary attacks/spells and hope I don’t get tagged since I can’t move and rife through them at the same time.
I haven’t really dabbled much in the magic in this game but with the secondary keyblade attacks that can pretty much do the same thing but be comboed into from the standard attacks makes them feel kind of useless save for the Cure spells.
Flowmotion attacks are probably OP. If there’s ever a time suddenly found myself low on health and without a quick spot to try to go through my list of crap without getting tagged I will spam the hell out of the Flowmotion. Find the nearest wall and just let Sora/Riku do the work for you. Feels like it’s for the most part invincible once it’s out. I have had very little attacks knock me out of it.
This game also does a pretty good job of giving you a refresher on events in the series so you very nearly don’t even need to play any of the other games unless you want to experience it yourself. The Momentos pretty much tell you anything you want to know when stuff that is referenced in the story comes up.
If there’s one thing I’m most personally disappointed in it’s the fact that I have yet to run into one Final Fantasy character in the games. It probably has to do with story purposes which if you’re interested in the game…I’m not going to get into but througout most of the game I’ve played so far I’ve been like…‘something is missing…’. Moogle is still there for the stores buuuut that’s about it.
Overall I’m still very much enjoying the game and watching how things are unfolding. Sora is super cheesy though…but I think it’s pretty much to be expected at this point.
I don’t know, I’m looking for a game that will redeem the 3DS… FFIII and TWEWY were so awesome, but just the other day, I held a Vita in my hands… It felt… good.

Could’ve added Kefka for a super duper ass raping boss.
Do I need the add on analogue pad to play KH:3DS?

I am by no means a expert but from my understanding, the original DS and DSlite were the easier systems to run that sort of stuff on but homebrew stuff for DS games is possible.
I’ve been playing KH:3D just fine without it but I don’t know what seperate options the 2nd analogue brings.

Does anyone know if the 3DS XL will actually be available on the 19th?
A lot of the time release dates don’t actually translate to “available in store” dates.
In any case, I’m buying mine first day it’s available. Buying New Super Mario Bros. 2 tonight at midnight. Want those 100 points! I registered my cousins 3DS to my Club Nintendo account. Hopefully I can get the 100 points from his purchase too.

I watched this and was underwhelmed by NSMB2 it looks a little better than the original but still suffers from lack of creativity. I guess Super Mario 3D Land 2 will have to pick up the slack, but I’ll still buy NSMB32 once it hits $20 lol.
IF the white or all black one was released in US, it would be a day one purchase for me. As it stands, the colors available are too damn ugly for me to waste my money on. Region lock is damn stupid btw.
Yeah there have been a good number of reviews that say this game plays it too safe for them…but that’s kind of the point of NSMB lol. It’s for the people who want 2D mario platforming action and for mostly the ones who have a hard time wrapping their heads around moving a character in 3D space. Yes…those people do exist. I’m not picking up the game Day 1 but it’s a mario game…I will get it eventually.

You might want one…some reviews say the action onscreen sometimes causes camera issues. You don’t NEED it, though.
I just had such a bad experience from MGS:3D, it just kinda turned me off from the whole system altogether.
I would recommend KH3D it has alright replay value. This was my first KH game and I was able to follow along with the story since they summarized the other games.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 3DS usa version does NOT have the yellow game case like the euro version. It doesn’t even have the inside “cover” the euro version has that’s really awesome. It’s just white on the inside. Buck this typical nintendo bs.
But damn this red 3DS XL is sexy as hell. Really good job on the finish and better everything over the original 3DS. There’s no green lite at all for the 3D icon anymore too. Saves some battery life. And the slider clicks now which is nice. Plus the lines on the top screen problem is gone too. In other words they could have done all this with the first model.
How’s the 3D and the sweet spot on it?
Sorry I won’t be using the 3D for any video games. I wear glasses and I have some vision problems. No real way for me to see the 3D properly anyway. Like playing Zelda OOT 3DS I just see like a second Link “shadow” right beside the main one.
That’s not an excuse, plenty of developers on XBLA have proven you can make an innovative 2d platformer on a shoestring budget and you’re telling me one of the gaming giants with a long history of quality 2d titles can’t do better? GTFO.
I don’t think the NSMB titles are meant to be “safe” as much as they are examples of Nintendo being unwilling to be creative without new technology.
