2DS unfortunately is not in the trade up promo IIRC. Just the OG 3DS, the XL, and Vita.
That’s a shame. I’ll figure I’ll trade my nephew’s 2DS and give him my XL. I’m better off with the XL trade.

It uses the same charger as the OG 3DS and the XL, so they didn’t include a charger to reduce the cost.

Nintendo is wack. The only console to include an HDMI cable is the Wii U, but they can’t include a fucking charger for their new handheld? Dumb. After the whole fiasco with the GC controller adapters you’d think they would smarten up.
And this is coming from a Nintendo fanboy.
Nintendo is a weird ass company. Things you expect them to do that you think would make sense they don’t do…for better or for worse.
That being said my current plan is to just buy a 3rd party ac adapter to trade in with my old 3DS and keep my actual official charger.

Just finished transfering my stuff to new 3ds (that’ll do old 3DS…that’ll do…). This is actually my first time trading in any system for an upgrade as I actually kept the OG tank DS all through through that entire generation and I feel slightly sentimental towards it…BUT THIS NEW ONE IS AWESOME.
Didn’t know Nintendo started to have the eShop for the 3DS play game music around releases as well. Was just jumping on to redownload my four swords adventures and I get greeted by the Song of Storms/Guru-Guru’s Song.

Gave the 3ds a test run by using Smash for couple of matches. Game looks really good on this and since I play my games with 3D on all the time it’s nice to not have to stay in one spot and be completely immersed without it breaking. It’s really nice. I know I’m going to enjoy getting bopped by monsters on this thing.
So are there any games with slowdown/choppy framerates that benefit from the improved specs?

at this day and age, i think $200+ for a handheld is a bit pricey especially one that doesnt come with a charger. The new ds cost as much as their WiiU for the standalone unit only O.o? I dont own a ds anymore and was planning to get the new one but so much for that.
@Sonichuman Yo do I need to include my old 3DS charger if I want to trade it in for credit towards a New 3DS system? I want to get one, but if I have to turn in the charger for it I think I’m going to hold off a bit until the official charger becomes available to purchase.

My next paycheck I was gonna splurge on the New 3DS, but I might wait till a Fire Emblem If bundle comes out…I don’t know if I can hold out though.
@orochizoolander I haven’t been on the 3ds since i lasted posted about it. lol I’m only on stage 3. I’m gonna continue this weekend. Just having been playing the 3ds during train rides or at home. Due to trying to finish off 2 console games
