2-4 more years of the 3DS line will still be around before a possible new handheld comes around so i’m pretty sure they’ll be announced sometime this year at the least.

Just a quick question to anybody playing Persona Q, I would google or gamefaqs this but I’m trying to dodge spoilers.

Got Rei and Zen on my team, they’re pulling their weight now but they can’t use a persona, is this going to cause them to be shit late game compared to the rest of the cast when everyone else is getting kitted out with GDLK fused personas or do they get a good enough base skillset to pull their weight?

All preference and whatever the hell you want to build your team. For me they’re in a interchangeable healer/caster spot but Naoto is too good for me to not use for clearing mobs.

Can always swap team mates to match the situation anyways since personally bringing slightly underleveled team mates even on the 2nd to hardest difficulty didn’t really matter for me as long as I got some core skills from the sub personas.

but my team is pretty fucking focused and built to take on any situation so yeah. You’ll also be surprised on the movesets on some of these personas.

Probably the only thing i’d recommend looking up is the later learned skills from the personas you’re about to fuse. Unless you truly want to go in blind and just make up shit along the way… but i ended up just wasting spent hours towards leveling a persona to see their moveset and then reset if i didn’t like it. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

They can hold their own.

Thanks for the heads up, was worried that they might be like the knights you always get in Fire Emblem games who start out as your best unit and end up as your worst, glad that isn’t the case.

On the persona end I’m almost certainly going to end up with whatever I like the art of fused with the skills I want anyway so I don’t really mind what I level up there.

Completed Shovel Knight. Awesome to the end, and just the right length for what it was. A couple of cheap deaths here and there thanks to being bounced back into pits (particularly on the Enchantress boss), but nothing too terrible - and you’re not punished that hard for dying, anyway.

Also, the music is topnotch.

Tried out some of the new weapon changes from Monster hunter 3 to MH4U. God dammit alot of the changes are small but adds plenty of variety and new options at the same time

•Great sword now has a follow up massive golf swing after the Strong Charge aka the under and over charged slam, damage is based on level of charge of the Strong Charge. Can chain the golf swing into the A atttack (side swipe) and if you hold A, release and press within the right timing, you’ll immediately start charging the Strong charge. These additions increases great sword’s burst and punishing options a massive amount and now the side swipe isn’t just some “quick hit” you land or to swipe away enemies. Plenty of incentive now to use the swipe to set up the Strong Charge and also more incentive to go for Focus builds instead of just Crit Draw builds. Huge changes.

•Long sword. Due to changes to meter, it’s not a mash R and never use any other normal to victory once you get max meter weapon. Spirit combos will constantly drain with use and is no longer free, so you’ll be using the normal attacks a LOT more often.

There is now a follow up after the fade slashes that charges you abit forward and does back hand swing. Can combo it directly into Spirit combo or normals. Overall a much much much less scrubby weapon, more incentive to use fade slash, and more smooth and flowy than before.

edit i’ll list more later*

God dammit capcom, I want to make fun of you, stop making good changes.

Yeah I used great swords in the previous games and I love the changes. I know im late but I have extra demo codes if anyone needs them just send me a pm and Ill send them after work. I got them last week so hopefully they didn’t expire or anything.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate being sold for $27.36 right now at Amazon, so if you don’t have it preordered already better grab it at the price while you can. A couple of others like Pokemon dropped price too.

Man just going to Amazon holy shit is the 3DS lineup kinda stacked these next two months. Devil Survivor 2, Etrian Odyssey, Codename Steam, Monster Hunter, Majora’s Mask, Story of Seasons…I guess that is true for the other systems as well.

Nintendo finally decided to send me some codes… Hit me know if you need them.

I couldn’t give the slightest shit about monster hunter so

Damn my friend gave me a code. This will be my 2nd monster hunter game after Freedom Unite on psp. I tried the demo, and didn’t play much because i had to leave and took my ds lite with me instead. But the shit is fun, and it’s so damn colorful. Definitely copping. Just looking to see if some friends are getting day one so we can form a little hunting squad

Codename S.T.E.A.M demo is on the eshop just FYI

Will be starting my download as soooooon as I get home

Played the Project Steam demo. It plays a bit like Valkyria Chronicles; you have free range of movement, but you can only move as far as your steam gauge will allow. If you backtrack, you will get your steam back. Attacking also uses up steam. If you have some steam leftover, you can attack during the enemy’s turn (the enemy can do the same though). Enemies have weak spots on their backs, just like tanks in VC.
